Hey hey, Touhou isn't just bullet patterns, a few fighter games have also been made. The latest being Soku (UNL?) aka 12.3. (Which pretty much requires 10.5 unless you want to have only 5 characters to choose from.)

Essentially, a top-down shooting game where killing your enemies takes comes second and dodging difficult, intricate, and sometimes beautiful-looking patterns of bullets comes first. Also, incredibly awesome and epic-sounding music. And that's not even counting the countless remixes that have been made.
Also, don't base your opinion off of the gameplay videos you see on YouTube. Most of them will be showing off the hardest boss on the highest difficulty setting, which will look something like this:
But most of the game (especially on the lower difficulty settings) is spent more like this:

(Of course, it'll never be that easy if you play on hard or lunatic mode. Or the extra stage, for that matter, which trumps them both.) |

Sky Pyramid
As I'm currently in Zelda 3 hacking (A Link to the Past) I played around with the editor a lot, and before I knew it, I actually bothered to make something..
This is the Sky Pyramid, used for the currently unnamed team hack by me and Bluemoon. The Sky Pyramid has a mystic bond with the pyramid on land, below the pyramid on the sky. The Sky Pyramid is very far up the sky, falling down may kill you because of the height. It is recommend to stay on the clouds.
Any comments?
P.S: Ignore the blue background, that's where the background will be, which I still need to make. |

You can't use tiles under 500, you have to insert the exanimation file into the exanimation slot (super GFX Bypass, 7F at standart), then go to the 8x8 editor, press Shift+Ctrl+Page down to unlock inner gfx view and search for the exanimation graphics. Then you take the values (something above 600) and enter them in.

I can't seem to get ExAnimation working. I have all of the GFX set up correctly, and I'm only using 2 frames, making 1 8x8 tile. 8x8 tiles 18A and 18C. I paste the tile. Shows up as something still. Look back at the slot in the ExAnimation window. Both frames have magically become 500. How do I make it so I can use 8x8 tiles below 500? |

It's not a GFX editor, it's a layer 3 remapping tool. I've already edited GFX in YY-CHR, I just need Terra Stripe to arrange them, particularly on the overworld border.
I assumed Terra Stripe didn't apply any hacks since it's for remapping, but maybe it does, and if ExFastRom moves the long jump for the decompression subroutine, then that would cause issues. Weird thing is that it only crashes after I've applied new GFX. Strange. |

It's not a problem with it uploading. I think it has to do with EXTREME FAST ROM.
I started with a fresh ROM and started adding stuff, and then would test Terra Stripe after each change. As soon as I inserted GFX (not ExGFX, just regular GFX) with ExtremeFR applied, then try Terra Stripe, it would freeze after giving me a message about the decompression subroutine.
I know I could just add the graphics before I applied ExFastRom, but the problem is that in order for ExFastRom to work, you have to apply it BEFORE you make changes in LM.

Woah, so many news. It was a little jarring when I looked at it, even though it's just a few small changes. There is one odd bug I noticed, but I'm not going to mention it for a bunch of reasons.

| Looks nice so far, Kieran! Luckily, my new computer came with a larger monitor, so I hadn't been having problems about that issue for a little while, but I still think it'll be a nice change to those who do have problems with that. I'm honestly not a fan of changes, but, in this case, it isn't really the same seeing as how most are an improvement. The only thing I'd say I don't like that much is the drop-down menu for pages...I mean, it's nice that it isn't huge anymore, but it just seems a little bland, and slightly weird in a way. I'll probably get use to it soon enough, so I'm not complaining too much. |

*the thread starter has been moved under the thread title
*number of pages in a forum has been condensed so places like basic smw hacking aren't so huge to navigate on small resolutions
*rules hyperlink in menu?
