In simpler terms, SMW Hacking means editing levels, graphics, enemies, programming (and so on) in Super Mario World. To hack SMW, you need a SMW ROM file and an editor. The most commonly used editor for SMW is Lunar Magic. |

| Answer: | By "hacking", we're not talking about breaking into computers. "Hacking" in this context means "editing a ROM". ROM Hacking itself is not illegal, however, downloading the ROM files required for hacking is illegal. |
