Seriously, though, some laptops nowadays have ridiculous battery life. I don't think it would be entirely impossible that some x86 tablets would pop up.
Now Intel's making an Atom that doesn't massacre a phone battery, they're plopping them in phones.
I for one, would not want a x86 phone. It'd make a great hand warmer though.
x86 emulation? Don't count on running W7 on a Snapdragon; maybe XP or Ubuntu.
and most lappies top about 10h for good ones like Asuses or MBPs; a normal one you'd get off the shelf runs 2-6h.

Last time Intel tried to start with a clean slate was Itanic, and that sunk... still floating because businesses seem to keep their stuff for approximately 14 decades.
Anyways, I wouldn't want Windows 8 on a tablet regardless of processor; a desktop is not a tablet, a tablet is not a phone, and a phone is not a desktop.
The Metro and Unity folks don't get that at all...
Also, I think ARM W8 might only run Metro apps, not legacy apps compiled for ARM... So it's just another inevitable failure like MeeGo with no apps for it (I still weep...)

It records only.
It should run fine, but games will take a massive FPS hit even on good computers.

how to tell someone knows fuck all about PCs: calls their computer a CPU
anyways, VGA or HDMI, depending on the TV/PC. Take pictures of the back of your TV you know what it accepts.

Anyway lol... my TV does not have any VGA or HDMI ports (it is from 2005... still have one of those boxy TVs, but it is awesome =D), but I do have a cable that converts sound to the TV and Stereo system. It has a Video output/input but... for some reason it doesn't want to work with my TV. The screen starts to become heavily distorted as soon as I connect it to the video output... May need a new cord, since I have had that since like 2001 haha.
CRT? Your video card might output S-Video which 2000s CRTs often accept. You're shit out of luck for outputting Composite on a TV though.
You're better off getting a good LCD monitor/TV, TV CRTs are NOT good for computers as their small resolution and blurriness for small objects. (Computer CRTs are fine because of their high resolutions and better image quality though.)

Adjusting the opacity to 50% would make it look pretty OK.

Speaking of monitors, I've yet to see an LED screen. How are they? I've heard good things, but the units look the same as LCD screens.
I like computer CRTs. They look good at any resolution, not just the native one. 1280x1024, 1024x768 and 800x600.

Yup, after a year of not giving a shit, (tm) I've come back to it, updated, and finished it.
Right now it's only got a few tools, and I'm willing to listen to you for what you want added.
3.2.x is out, with more tools
Link to download and more info

There is an SPC player.
I'd have prefered Debian, but only openSUSE offers tools that don't make me want to punch puppies. shame because openSUSE is shit compared to debian (but this isn't, i hope)
All 3 emulators are there as well.
It's got xfce, so it's lightweight but not a clusterfuck like gnome 3

It is a false positive, there is no virus. Your AV is shit.
Transhextion can't hold a candle to XVI32 though. Probably my favourite hex editor.

Forza 4. Very fun. I like upgrading weird cars to B, A, S, or R3 class. Tauruses and Neons passing Vipers and Corvettes is just funny for me.

Wiis are by far one of the easiest consoles to softmod; allowing you to run custom software making your Wii far more useful by actually letting it do some stuff it should have out of the box, (cough DVDs cough media player cough) emulators for several systems, custom games and tools, and the legally sketchy and unrecommended game backuping.
Definitely made my experience with the dust attractor better: it's a good media centre now.
Any other people did this to their Wii? Mine is a Q1 2008 model with a good DVD drive (good laser/supports normal DVD), GC support, and a hackable bootloader.

Unless the Wii U delivers games, I don't see the need when my Wii makes a good media centre.
Still, this shit should have came with it. It's a bitching SD/DVD media player with networking support now though.
edit: wait nintendo could have made a killing here though. make a Wii Media edition - a wii with an enhanced disc drive that can read CDs (seriously, no CD support wtf), DVDs, Blu-Rays, and Wii Discs, with an enhanced motor that's quieter, faster and more powerful, bundle an enhanced WiiMC, and a slightly enhanced GPU and output, allowing for 1080p or 720p for videos and the menu only. Games would still be their shit 480p res for compatibly.

So I bought a Black Wii with Mario Kart; And turns out Nintendo replaced the disc reader and DVD-R could not be read. Preventing Piracy
20 CDs wasted.
But yeah; I hacked my Wii to play Brawl+ & Custom Mario Kart Wii Tracks
I used the LetterBomb on 4.2U system.
I had alot of WADS (Virtual Consoles channels).
Emulators - where I first started playing EarthBound & Mother3 on Gba Emulators; A couple SMW hack on the SNES emulator as well as NES Hacks.
And Doom!
coulda used USB, but still piracy makes me a sad AI

Wish it was that simple with the Xbox 360... :S
Aren't most 360 games region free?

Nintendo's already said that making it play Blu-Ray is pointless and it will drive the cost up so much for something everyone already has, so they aren't putting it in.
Bet ya that it uses a BD-ROM drive... but we'll need homebrew to play video BD.

Of course, big Hollywood still sucks.
because no competition, and when there is, they kill it anti-competitively.
hollywood needs change.
