I pick number 4 because the style fits the hack.

ExGFX made myself, the BG was ripped from Earthworm Jim.
Thanks goes to Tornado for the SMK music !

Enjoy !!!

Alright, that level is just awesome Lexator. The BG is preety sweet. But as JDC said, it's hard to define what is the solid FG.
P.S. SHINY!!!

Just something I felt like making. In case someone wants it, it's already available for download in the Sprites section.

(Also, for those who're not getting the point of this video: The screen glows, that's all. :P)

Wow, that's awesome. Would suit perfectly in a cave level with ExAnimated SMB1 cave BG. Nice work WYE.

Yeah, a short little video showing the room and the cutscene before the first Hunter Boss on the Crater. Enjoy and please comment.

Wow, that's a nice level you got there! Lemme' guess, the music is from Yoshi's Island when you are in a boss room but not fighting the boss itself?
Nice so far. Realy love the GFX combinations, but I don't like those hills you use as a BG but hey, that's just me. Keep it up!

What do you think?
If you want it, send me the PM and I will give you the link.
Well, I gotta say that I was realy dissapointed with the last boss in MegaMan X6. Two hits with Shadow Armor's Giga Attack and he's down in the scrap pile. I was also dissapointed with Wild ARMS 2 final boss. I was like, level 89 when I fought him. That was high enough to use 3 Impulse attacks in a row, and to beat him you needed like what, 6-7 Impulses? But, he was easy just 'cause I was at a high level.

Yea he's right, it's pretty simple to do. Anyways nice palette there, what's with the fish though?
Thanks, as for the fishes, I just disabled the layer 3 rising tide for a better view. Don't worry, the Sprite Bouyancy is turned on.

The 2nd screenshot reminds me of the first SMB 3 cave level near the end.
Well, the first one looks best 'cause the other ones kinda' sting me in the eye. Not saying they are bad though.
Now, that's one heck of an OW but the moon and the stars look kinda... odd. Fix the pallet and it will be alright. Oh, and dontcha' think you kinda' overdid it with the houses?
Oh, my 13th post! I'm gonna have an unlucky day.

Well, a nice hack indeed so far. I suggest to change the FG pallet to a more red-brown. But if you like the original one, that's fine with me.
Hey there guys, I'm currently working on a new hack called : Sklenk and the Orb of Death (Like it's not obvious from the thread title).
The hack features a new character Sklenk, a skeleton (FTW?).
Here are some statistics and screenshots:
Location: Third Continent a.k.a The Land of Dead
Story: Sklenk, a young skeleton from the Dry Village is on his new quest - the search for the mythical Orb of Death that is said to have magical powers to give fortune to who ever finds it. Many have tried and have failed, none was heard from again. It's your duty to guide Sklenk through the haunted lands of the Third Continent and overcome many dangers on the way.

Now for some screens:

The new title screen.

The first subworld.

Part of the first level and Koopa replacements.

New Goomba GFX.

Notice the new Pirahna Plant GFX?

And the new Mushroom GFX.

Well that's really all there is since I only have the first level finished. But I already have the ideas for the next levels so expect updates soon.

I got a problem with Romi's Addmusic. When I open it, a window just pops up and closes automaticly in less the a second. What do I need to do?
Yeah. Also, I think that in the credits Reznor uses pallet 9 but in-game it uses pallet F. Correct me if I'm wrong. And yeah, Dry Bone's legs are blue in the credits.
Heh, thanks guys! Glad you like it. Unfortunetly, I have some problems with Romi's addmusic. The ROM crashed after I inserted some so there are some slowdowns (yes, I did expand the ROM). Don't worry, I will learn how to use it. Until then, I will just have to work on this hack without custom music, but I plan on having it in the first 2 world demo.

The graphics are good. The levels are not bad though they look a little bland at points.
Well, you realy can't judge just by the screenshots. Anyways, here is the World list:
Wasteland Island
Gloomy Gulch
Creepy Cave
Spooky Seaside
Horror Hills
Ridge of Ruins
Arctic Abyss
Sacred Ruins

Hey all! I just wanted to show some new screens of the level I'm making right now.
*2 pics
It's a water cave level. I'm using some stuff for layer 2 to make it look more appealing. Hint: The translucent ground and some other stuff. How's it look so far?

OMG! Looks good but it's also a little confusing.
