I'm working on a new hack of mine, and I want it to be all custom music. However, I want to use Iggy as the boss for World 1. The problem is that when I change it to the boss theme I want (through the note block option), it still plays the usual SMW boss battle theme. Please help!

"Bypassing the music doesn't work for the mode 7 boss battles (i.e. the ones you can't edit in Lunar Magic), so you'll have to use a hex edit instead" by yoshicookiezeus. Thanks a lot for your reply, but I'm not completely sure what you want me to do

How do I apply Carol's N-SPC patch to my hack, and what does it do?

Thank-you. I know how to use xkas, though. Does the N-SPC patch work any differently, because it comes with both a .asm and a .bin file?

Okay, no offense guys, but you're really not getting the point. All I know how to do is use xkas, and set the freespace in the asm file. That's it. Could you please tell me what to do with both the MORE.asm and the MORE.bin file?

Sample Tool

It replaces Sample in your rom making a music more accurate.
Thank-you, but I honestly have no idea how to use the thing

So, I'm attempting to port a song, and once I've prepared the text for the first insert, this happens:

So, what do you think I should do? I would gladly appreciate help .

@Mission_316
Thank-you for the reply. Yes, I am using loops, there are so many lines because I have not looped it yet. I usually save looping for the end (meaning I set all instruments, "p" commands, echoes, and "/"s before I loop them). Also, there are several more channels than I can have, I just wanted to figure out which channels can be removed.
So let me get this straight, if I'm having an interval problem, and there's no octave designation, than it's one of the < or >?

Hi there! One of my ports was rejected, and suggested I used "label looping." What does that mean?

Cool, thanks. So I don't have to put any number after the (1)[abcdefg], I can just select the section of music?
|
|
|

I meant place a number after the [abcdefg] as if I would if I was looping it without labales - abcdefgabcdefg to [abcdefg]2. But from your answer, I am gathering that I don't need to place a number there.
Thank-you

So what you're saying is that if I put (1)[abcdefg]4, then I put (1), it won't play abcdefg four times?
Thank-you

Alright, I'm back, and my port was rejected again . This time I was suggested to use ADSR to edit one of my instruments. Is this the thing I see in people's .txts that have $## (# being a number)? Thank-you for all the help so far!
No, it's not the same port as before.

Hi there! So, I'm using Romi's Addmusic, but whenever I insert a song that needs N-SPC Patch, I doesn't work. I mean, it gets inserted, but in the game it has no sound (I mean, not even sound effects).
Thank-you.

Originally posted by KoyukiHave you tried patching N-SPC patch already to your rom? If not, then it might be the problem.
Even if I am using Romi's Addmusic it still doesn't apply it? Also, whenever it says "Insert was successful" my ROM won't load (I even set the freespace).
