Lol, I saw yours and it pretty much inspired me to make mine. Had to do quite a bit of digging to get everything exact, their's quite alot of things I've posted here that I'm not proud of.

I'm guessing this is only for all of you across the pond? I didn't seem to get it.
I hope it's something to do with porting Flipnote Studio to the 3DS, that would be so epic.

Going back to what I said earlier, there's a huge correlation between staff/well established user interest stuff on this board and the general user base's. For example, it was Kieran's genuine interest in the radio made it into alot more of a success then the previous times it was brought back.
At the end of the day though, the wiki already has alot of useful resources. For all purposes, it's doing it's job. The only real problem at the moment that needs to be addressed is spamming, that job can only be done by Kieran.

Watching 1080p TV rips on my 1080p screen shows significantly cleaner lines than upscaled 720p itunes rips, both downloaded, not youtube'd.
There is a bit of discrepancy regarding the 1080ness, though, as the hub HD airs in 1080i, not 1080p. It therefore just requires a bit of processing to fix, but all the data is still there.
Sorry, what do you mean by Youtube'd? Does uploading videos to Youtube drop it's quality somewhat? (I'm only asking since Youtube is my primary source for the latest MLP videos, I'd rather not run into torrents).
Also the info about HUB airing in 1080i is interesting, thanks for sharing,

Well if you don't mind me pointing out the problem, this most likely have to do with the way everyone on the internet handles things.
Derpy is a really beloved character so it will stand that alot more people will defend her if she gets any controversy. That said, the ones defending her sort of shot themselves in the foot as they ended up keeping the whole controversy relevant.
It sort of like some weird reverse of the Streisand effect.

Man I absolutely...
...had a way too high expectation of it.
It seemed to fell down the same clichés most extended themes go though. Most notably that the chorus and the verses didn't really flow into each other as smoothly as I would of expected it to. The puns are awesome and I'm sure the remix community can salvage quite alot of it but for a show with awesome music, the extended theme just kinda disappointed me.
Did anyone hear a bit of Winter Wrap Up in that song though, I swear the song takes a few cues from it.

I actually have a Spike model I've made for SM64 that I've been planning on using as my avatar once I get the damn thing importing correctly.
Also, in case anyone gets the wrong impression, I like the extended version of the song. It's good (especially the second verse) It's just after hearing a snippet of the theme from that Twilight plushy a year ago, I kept thinking how would they link it into a full theme which lead to my unrealistic expectations. I guess I was a little close minded but sue me this was pretty much in the back of my head for over a year now. The song still feels a little unpolished no matter how I try to spin it.
EDIT: So, I decided to start practising animation. I think I might have a long way to go in order to get good (or at least as good as the other pony fan animators), but this seems like a alright starting point.

I'm hoping that the game is only intended to be semi-compatible with the DS, and is more focus on utilising the 3DS's more advanced features.
Anyway, it's a new Pokemon game. I loved Black so I'm all up for a direct sequel.

It's not the character itself that's inappropriate, it's the name they (read: we) given her. Let's say we kept with Lauren calling her Ditzy Doo, it would make perfect sense as it's hardly considered an insulting name. But well "Derpy", that was a name made by a few people on 4Chan mostly to insult the pegasus they thought they probably never see again.

So will Fluttershy get off scotch free from all the other people she was really unfriendly to? Ether way, it was a great story with a great moral. It also gave Fluttershy some really needed characterisation, which is a plus in my book. |
