Ummm... This is my first post. I have started a rom hack called "The sunshine isles." So far:
Demo 1: 52% done
Full Hack: About, ummm... 6% maybe.
So far I have already put in some exgfx, a custom sprite or two, some music, and a puzzling switch palace. The overworld is making progress, and is almost done.
I am aiming it to be featured!!! So, I have to work hard. I should at least mention, that I'm only 12 years old. If I am to do something really great, you will all be startled. Now,
Projected Demo finish: Middle of October
Full Hack finish: I HAVE NO IDEA!!!
So, yeah, that's it. My levels will be posted on my Youtube account, which has the same username as here.
Oh, and I love yoshi.

Being new, I don't know how. Can you tell me? And besides, my computer has been offline for a while, so I can't make any new updates.

YAY!! Thanks. I'm glad so many people want to help me, I feel at home here.
But, sadly I can't do that for a week or so, so let's hope it doesn't get closed by then. 
Also, MastaMan88, I don't think I'm the youngest one here. I just think that I'm not an adult and my hack will be superb.
Yes, I do use ZSNES, so as soon as I can use my computer [and I mean as soon] then the screenshots will come in, and I will show you my first world overworld, my levels, and a secret 3-up moon! #w{ }
Also, like the original SMW, there are no cape feathers in the first world.
Sadly, Yoshi is not in my hack yet. It dissapoints me, but I [spoiler alert will put 4 secret bonus areas where you can get different colored yoshis.
Ok, I need to ask if I can set up my computer now. Byebyebye!

I like my first hack, it is playable and everything , but it is definitely not as good as yours. I was aiming to be featured, but now that I look at yours, I don't think so.

The outdoor section cannot have a background. The background palettes are all screwed up 'cause of the foreground.

Actually, I haven't checked if the palette got screwed up. The background just automaticaly went away when I put in the FG. I also don't like the ending area, [pictures 9-10] so I'll probably redo that. I'll take suggestions for that. I already know who will review the first demo for my hack. He is one of my 1 youtube friends. He is... hey look! A penny! #w{}

Oh, switch palace pictures will be on Tuesday. [Tommorrow.]
Now, the first person to send me a random link to any sprite on SMW central will get credit and have that sprite used in my hack. It's silly, but I need inspiration. You will get credit for being the suggestor, and if the maker wants credit, they will get it. 
I still have hope for my hack to be featured, 'cause some of the errors in my hack are in a lot of other featured hacks.
I am also helping Corputendo on his rom hack, so updates will be a bit slower than they used to be.
Also Leod, I've played a lot of hacks and started hacking on April, so I'm not really a newbie. But technically, this is still my first hack cause in May, I started procrastinating all the way to July. Then, in September, some more stuff happened, and my computer got moved to the garage. I stocked up on sprites and music and graphics most of the days that I had my computer free, so I've, technically, only had about forty actual days working on my hack.

You sir, are great. Let me guess, you used the underground sprite gfx, didn't you? The upside down piranha and football chuck gave it away.

There should have been 2 more pictures between 7 and 8, but they got corrupted, and so, this is what you have.

I do have a "reset door", but two of the pictures screwed up, so I couldn't show it.
I also don't like most of the level, so yeah. I actually thought of changing the pipe and Para-goomba-para-bomb area. Yeah.
What really sucks is that my computer has errors, so I cannot access lunar magic. Wow!

2technogeeks, I don't think that's a shell jump. I think it's a jump where you jump off of a paratroopa.
Also, 'P' does stand for 'power', by the way. That's what I saw in the NSMB strategy guide, which had 'P' switches too.
But, backing up what 2technogeeks said, the lower-left of the 4th picture also looks like you could swim right a]off the edge. If you put in Layer 3 low tides, and got the Water Fix sprite, [I think it might be a patch though] then the water would be flowing normally, and you wouldn't have to worry about swimming off the edge.

Well, you know the words graphic thingy in Graphics? Well, I could have Mario auto-walking through a level with a bunch of words using the words graphics, and have some little landscapes like in the original SMW? I should make a plan for it. The words could be like, me, my supporters, the reason I ever started rom hacking, and much more. So? what d'ya think?

Oh no. 
I have a problem with my LM computer. It won't turn on when I press the turn on button. I have unplugged all the wires and plugged them back in again and it still won't work!
I didn't want to have to come to this, but, at the very least, the first demo release will be postponed. Worst case scenario, well, let's not think about that!
I hope I can get my computer working again. See ya.
