...and how is it different from ADSR?

Could someone give me like a graph demonstrating what 'Gain' is?
You know, like the one showing what ADSR is? That's what I'm most curious about.

Wow...
... that's absolutely sickening. I have nothing else to say that hasn't been said already.

Originally posted by S.N.N.1. Enabling that "walk on any tile on the map" effect (the "RPG" patch, I guess it's called). This would allow us to have a detailed tile-based map which you could actually explore, and it might allow artists some more flexibility.
I don't know. I like that idea, but would there still be events and paths the player can follow? Also, maybe we could use the remaining sublevels for special purposes, i.e. save houses, secrets, etc.
Originally posted by S.N.N.2. Adding some custom overworld sprites. Nothing fancy, of course, but stuff to make the map more "spiced up" in general. Ideas include the airship (perhaps this could be how you get to the sky world after the fourth castle?), or conveyors on the factory submap.
Yeah, this would be cool.

Of course it could be more sophisticated. I was just worried that people might get lost with all the free-roaming and stuff without paths.
Also, what do you think of my idea for the save houses?

You HAVE been following this project, right Shog?
I don't think there are any plans for an airship, save for the one at the end of W6. Certainly not one that moves like in SMB3.
