I think your expecting to much from a show that's meant for kids 3-10, story plot wise. The writing is excellent but the story doesnt' need to go deeper and explain every single event. That would over complicate things. Yet that's my opinion.
I fixed all the issues mention but i wanted to port the level to the latest base rom, but soon i realized that i forgot to claim any map16 tiles so when i finally decided to claim them they were taken so now i have to remap every thing...argg disorganization!! I'll have the "final" version by Friday.

Took a while but here it is.

Level

Please test because i had to port the level to the "new" base rom and things might be off. I tested it and found nothing wrong but i won't hurt to double check. #w{=)}

If every thing is good may i submit the level?

What do you prefer to see after the "Nintendo presents"? I nice movie of Mario going threw a level(such as the original) or a static image(smwcp)?

At first i loved the idea of changing Mario's movements and creating your own but then i found it more "professional" looking to have a fixed image.

If they were smart they would target bronies a bit more. Children have no buying power unless they have a parent involved. The older audience can spend money because they have it. Really fun level, it kept the sky theme perfect with the first bit while the second part was a nice throw back to smb3 platforming.


That area with the goonies is too easy and feels like it was just slapped on. Plus they made such a short appearance that there really no need for them.

To get the smwcp coin that's blocked by the spinning things feels like a chore rather then a puzzle. Other than that pretty good so far keep up the good work, this level has gotten more progress in a few weeks than others in months!#w{xD}

Yes the episode wasn't a show stopper but it was very enjoyable. I think more non-"mane" charters should get the spot light once in a while.
*First time playing*

The first segment is very visually appealing, i like it, but i feel that mario starts to much to the left that it gives you no time to react when the screen starts scrolling. Also i think there should be a better transition from the colored gfx to the blank ones. It seems to sudden.

Second part i enjoyed the best. Had no problems with that part but after the midpoint is where i have some gripes. I think that the medium speed auto scroll is to fast for this type of gimmick because you can't see what ahead plus you have to wait for the light to dark transition so it puts you in a situation where the player has to memorize how the lay out is and play it over and over and over...not fun. You could slow the speed down but i think the making the animation faster is better. Also some gaps are to small to fit into as big mario.

Overall this level is awesome. Keep it up.

I found nothing to critical in the mini games. I do want to nitpick that some areas don't have the corner tiles.this.Everything else seems fine.


Guess my 4 in ap calculus was no match for that math game. I'ma go practice my times tables now.....
I'm using the custom thwomp by Mirumo and i want to change it so that you're able to stand on top of the thwomp so the player rises and falls as the thwomp does. Any way to achieve this?
Sorry if there's something i havn't quite grasped yet is asm.

And replace it to ":state 2" in the falling_block.asm to make it rise again. But that's not working
Ok i tried that and got an error in spritetool. So i went back and noticed there was no JSR SUB1 or JSR SUB_VERT_POS label code. So i added it from the falling_block asm file and then it passed spritetool but i still get hurt if i land on the thowmp. The code is basically the same as in the falling_block asm file.
Ah yes, now it works fine but not as i expected. When he's standing on the thwomp its as if he's continuously falling instead of being stationary on the thwomp.

Im stating the third world even though i haven't finished 2 levels in the 2nd world.
I'm not quit understanding this. Are these sub-levels to the world 9 boss? How does one go about claiming the level? Yeah i didn't really kept up with the w-9 thread.
I'd like to give this little level section a try.

Using lots of yellow, orange and their complementary colors should send a vibe of happiness.
How it sounds now it could fit the mischief or perplex parts.

From 0:23-0:33 really fits a dream like setting. It's awesome.
Is there a fix for the fireball through moving slope glitch??
