Thank you georgevssonic for pointing out those things. Yoshi will fix them all for the next demo. Here is what I have to say to each one (in the order of your comments):
- Yoshi was originally going to use the test map as the overworld, but yoshi thought that was too plain and boring, so yoshi decided to temporarily use the Star Road map as the overworld. Yoshi is working on an overworld, but if I don't have the will to do it, then yoshi will post the world names and ask someone to do it, like you suggested.
- Yoshi noticed that too. Yoshi changed all the note block graphics to the same thing, so yoshi doesn't know why it does that. Maybe yoshi should check the graphics file again.
-Yoshi didn't notice that, yoshi will fix that. These levels aren't set in stone. While they do work, yoshi will add or change things to the levels to make them more fun, interesting, or less bland.
- Originally, that bridge was half bridge, half used coin block. If you hit the P-Switch, a ton of coins would appear over the bridge, but half the bridge would also disappear. Yoshi noticed that it created cut-off, so yoshi changed the bridge. Since mario can no longer touch the boiling mud, yoshi might as well remove it.
- Soda Lake is level 1 in Lunar Magic, so yoshi used the palette it was already set to, But yoshi will change that and the message block flaw. By the way, did you find the second message block in that level to be funny?
- Yoshi noticed that. Yoshi will replace the purple coins with something else. By the way, did you know that yoshi put those coins there for a reason? As for the cement block spam, some of those cement blocks in Forest Ride used to be floating munchers. Even though cement blocks are better than floating munchers, yoshi will replace the cement blocks with something else.
-Yoshi is aware that yoshi used the super fast scrolling speed for Frost Cave, because yoshi wanted to make a fast paced and somewhat challenging level. Yoshi knows mario can't jump when the screen scrolls at a certain speed, but that is why yoshi broke the level up into sections. Also, once the screen scrolls fast enough so that mario can't jump, there aren't any enemies or obstacles that mario has to jump over anyway unti you reach the pipe (or a wall). Yoshi tested that level more than the others to see if it was doable, and it is. Here is a hint, if you found the P-switch, the best time to press it is a bit before you see the first charging chuck in the second section.
-That slope, that mario is standing on in the screenshot, continues offscreen. How yoshi sees it, if a slope goes offscreen, then the part near where the slope disappears is safe. If a cliff goes offscreen, then it is not going to be safe offscreen. Usually, when yoshi hears about "Use of the bottom row", it usually is flat ground that is offscreen, not sloped. Either way, yoshi will try to fix that.
Oh and thank you for playing yoshi's hack.
Edit: Yoshi got Ninji'd
