Um...no it's not quite like asking that. Unlike Koopas (Or whatever you mean) midpoints are more important; which is why most hacks include them. I agree that it would be annoying to have to start from the beginning of the level each time you die. (Which is why people woud probably consider this a problem.)

Of course it's a feature you can choice but the hack will be much more difficult (and/or confusing, restarting the level.)

That's part of the reason I'd prefer not to release the hack without midpoints but I honestly been trying for awhile to get the multiple midpoints patch and so far I've only gotten it to work in some levels but for the most part, most don't work. I'm not in any rush to release this but I'm going to have to release the hack eventually. (I'd rather not spend months trying to get the patch to work.)

In those levels with no midpoints, I hope they're not real super long or else the player will probably decide "screw it" and start using savestates after dying and starting over at the beginning for the umpteenth time. I've seen the level videos and they are about 3-4 minutes in duration.

Well there's actually no real super long levels. The only level that's long is the last level of the hack. Regardless I still would much rather have midpoints then no midpoints. (Don't get me wrong.)

Well, when you don't get the Multi Mid-point patch working. Why don't you include just one midpoint in your level?

Well most of the midpoints are on the sub levels. (The level with cut scenes warp you to a sublevel instead and that's where the level will start.)

Well maybe I'll have to just stick with that alternative..somehow.

...Anyways you're allowed to make a hack without them, but keep in your mind hacks with long AND hard levels are pretty boring. A good solution is... Have a save point in every level, or at least in the big levels, maybe... Or find a way to put a midway point in some levels by some way.

Hmm..well a save point after each level sounds good. Well I think I might've found a way around not getting the path to work. (The way I'm thinking of might be a little odd but it's better then not having midpoints at all.)
Sorry to ask this but what excatly is the ram map? Is it the text file that appears after you drag the rom to the slogger?

I haven't changed/set ram before so I'm not sure excatly what to do.
Well unfortunately changing the ram didn't work. (I changed it to $7E:0695)

-sigh- I think I'm just going to give up on this; I literally have no idea why some midpoints would work and most wouldn't. (Better yet what I did differently.)
Wow...I feel kind dumb DX. I found out what the problem was.

For the starting level of each level, make sure your midway entrance is on a different screen than the main entrance. It's a bug I never bothered to fix; if the midway is the exact same as the normal entrance, SMW skips the midway point code (and thus my patch).

So just move the midway entrance of each starting level. So if you're using level 109, change level 109's midway to a different screen in Lunar Magic, even if you have the midway set to a different level number entirely. It doesn't matter where you move the midway entrance on the starting levels, since it won't be used, but just make sure it's set to a different screen than the main one.

As far as I know, it turns out this was the problem the whole time. For some reason when you said starting level, it didn't registrar to me at first. (I was thinking the main entrance and the midpoint had to be on different screen) But I happened to suddenly change 109's midway entrance then played the level again and it worked along with another level.

I should really read better next time; but anyways thanks in advance for your help. I guess you can consider this solved (If something else comes up I'll post about it.)

Until then though, I'm going to vote Thundahack. Why? Because I'm short on time.

Uh *Sneezes* Thundahack isn't here anymore, Devann took his place.

*Snnezez* and Ha, I knew the doctor could do something about this...I just had a feeling....well he could have =/ *Sneezes*.

Man...*Sneezes* I'm not sure if Devann's suppose to be excatly what Thundahack was but we'll find out soon enough. I'll vote no kill until something comes up.

So if Giga won't get sick, then why did post he post what he posted? (Though this probably doesn't matter anyways since he's dead.) Just curious....

Seriously. His only post was "I say we vote off Dr. von Crazz, he seems very suspicious."

Yeah I was actually starting to wonder about that myself *Sneezes* The one I had a feeling about the most was Thundahack but sense Devann took his place, I don't have a clue of what's going on in that situation.

I guess *Sneezes* cramps-man would have to be the runner up for me...so yeah voting cramps-man for now.

Alright so for the most part this problem is somewhat fixed. I set the first midpoint for each level and in all there are only 6 midpoints that don't work...which would be for the following levels.

dw $0137 : dw $0137 : dw $0137
dw $00D7 : dw $0139 : dw $0139
dw $000E : dw $000E : dw $000E
dw $0037 : dw $0018 : dw $0018
dw $000D : dw $000D : dw $000D
dw $015A : dw $0011 : dw $0011

The rest work just fine but for some reason, these ones all start me at a completely different level (Even the ones that are untouched) Half of these I get the no Yoshi allowed Intro for some reason..

Have any clue why that might be?

Thank you for this #w{=)}

crith, don't get me wrong, I'm really really stoked that your looking forward to this but please be patient. Rushing or asking me when it's going to be released isn't going help me get this released any faster. The "Getting Everything ready for release" Process isn't excatly the fastest process ever. I'd rather take my time making sure everything is ready for release rather then stress myself out by having a release date. (No really, it's stressful trying to meet a deadline.) I can't answer rather it will be done by the end of February because I don't know. Just know that I'm working as hard as I can to get this release, so please be patient. (In other words, please don't ask about when it'll be released or what's left.)
Well 137 sent me to 5A but when I disabled the no Yoshi intro, it sent me to A1, which is a sublevel to a different level. (So that wouldn't work out.)

139 sent me to the bonus area (And played the No Yoshi Intro even though it's disabled) But when I set 00D7 back to 0139 it works fine, which is odd. (That shouldn't be a problem anymore)

E send sends me to 1F but it's just being used as a cut scene level, so I'm sure I can work my way around that.

18 I set back to 0018 but it sends me to level 113. Well it's actually currently unused so I suppose I can just go with it.

D Also sends me to the bonus room.

11 sends me to level 20 for some reason. (That level is pretty short though, so it might not need a midpoint.)

So level's 137 and D or the main problems that I feel will need midpoints and I don't really see much of a pattern but being that the others sent me to random levels i'm not using, maybe I can mess around with it a bit until it sends me to a level I'm not using?

Edited: Well never mind about that. They send me to those levels no matter what they're set to for some reason.

For some odd strange reason the sprite won't appear at all. It said it was inserted successfully but every time I insert it into lunar magic then play the level, it's not there. I tried two different sub levels and it still didn't appear.

Any reason why it won't appear?

It could be a RAM conflict too (the flag for the sprite being invisible could be set or something, I'd need to check).

Well I didn't try inserting another sprite into that same slot but instead moved the sprite to 20 instead of AC and it appeared.

I'm guessing I'm on limit space of sprites or something...I'm not sure.
Okay...by the looks of it, it looks like if your sick, you only have 3 days to live, Since Thundahack was sick from the beginning of the game.
But don't lose hope my friends, it looks like there's still a healer out there as I'm feeling a lot better today.

I'll vote Shadowfire. I suppose it's an okay lead but It's the best we have. I really think we should focus on Mafia soon however.
Glad I can help out man as this hack is great so far. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
So maybe there's a role other then doctor that can heal after all. If he was Mafia Doctor...I don't think he'd be able to get sick from what I can remember. If Rocky is telling the truth then I think we're almost screwed unless we absolutely take out Mafia at this point, as it seems like multiple people have roles that interact with each other.

Anyways I'm I think I'll vote mariocool1999 as I find him a bit suspicious. Some reason I have reason to believe Mafia are the people not saying much or not being involved. I admit that I don't have any good leads...but no kill isn't going to get us anywhere at this point.

I would find Rocky suspicious but his info seems pretty accurate as far as I can tell what's been going on so far.

silverthundr, since you said you targeted me on night 1, it's highly possible that you role blocked me to where I couldn't get you sick. Here's my confession earlier in the game. (That got by passed for some reason)

JDC is most likely innocent, the only reason why he got sick was because I was sick and I checked his room for something.

*Sneezes* I said I was the one who got him sick (Mostlikely). I started off sick, I didn't get infected.

Rocky said I was sick on Night 0 and according to my role, I started off sick. I'm sure I was able to get people sick "Which" is why I stopped checking rooms when Pheno said too. Shadowfire was doing the dirty buisness apparently but thanks to Rocky accidentally healing me apparently, I can't do that anymore.

There's my defense.

I'm voting for *cough* Rockythetiger because he didn't probably actually heal JDC, I did, so that means he's lying. That, or *cough* he's the mafia doctor. Or, a third option: there are 3 non-mafia doctors in this game, which I doubt.

Did you heal me as well? Because somebody did. If Mafia doctor can actually get sick unlike the regular doctor then there's a possibility but why would he try and heal Thunderhack if Thunderhack wasn't Mafia?

If Thunderhack really did switch rooms with me that night, I'm not sure rather I'd actually would've known or not. (I'm assuming I would)
@JDC: I don't think that excatly proves he could be Mafia. I'm sure just about everybody here has a night action just like MM9 said that causes people to interact with one another. Hence to how Forty2 got MM9 sick. (At least from the looks of it.) Not saying MM9 is totally innocent or anything. Maybe how MM9's talking like has to do with his role; and we know what the Mafia roles are..that seems to be the only thing not blind about this game. (Unless MM9's just talking like that for the hell of it.)
Will silverthundr said he role blocked me on Night 1 so there's a good chance that's why you didn't get sick; assuming I could get people sick due to the fact that I was the only one sneezing and not coughing (Or both) and that I was the only one sick without being affected. (True story)

Anyways I'll change my Vote to Rocky as well. I doubt he healed everybody he said he did.
