3/24/09: This thread is now about the entire series instead of Brawl.

This thread was pretty popular back on the old site, it's time to bring it back.

Anyway, if you haven't checked the site yet, Link's special moves are in today's update. Since this is the Twilight Princess version of Link, his special moves are altered.

He gets the Gale Boomerang, the Hero's Bow, the spinning attack which you can charge like in the game, and bombs which closely resembles the ones that Barnes make.

He even gets the Clawshot!

Here's an archive of the Hacks section on the Internet Wayback Machine

This is probably the closest your are going to get for restoring the hacks. It has just about everything all the way up to 2/20/2007.

Besides the cave, the snow island where Castle 6 is found is pretty awful. The black edges on the island look wrong. >.>
Anyway, back on the subject of desktops, here is mine:

Link
I'm up for Mario Kart.

Also, I don't see why we need to use zbattle when two players can directly connect to each other through the Netplay feature of ZSNES.
I'm willing to help if the offer is still up.
I like to point out that Whirlwind is superior to Roar. Both have the same amount of PP and accuracy but only 3 Pokemon aren't affected by Whirlwind. Roar doesn't affect 10 Pokemon.

Also Roost > Rest. Even though you become vulnerable to Earthquake, Skarmory loses its weakness to Electric attacks which is one of his two main weaknesses. Rest takes awhile for you to wake up and Skarmory may faint depending on who he is fighting.
It's definitely possible. I have a legit Skarmory that knows Drill Peck, Roost, Whirlwind, and Stealth Rock. To do that, I bred a male Pidgey with a female Fearow to pass Whirlwind to Spearow. Once I got a male Spearow through breeding, I leveled it up until it learns Drill Peck and then bred it with a female Skarmory.

The result was a male Skarmory with Drill Peck and Whirlwind. It even came with perfect Defense Dvs too.
I'll do the Documents, Hacks, and Featured Hacks.
Eh, might as well start a new thread here since the forums have been wiped. Anyway, here's my Yoshi's Island hack that I've been working on for nearly 9 months. Normally, I don't post screenshots until I'm done with a level but since the forums were wiped, I post screenshots regardless on how far I am from completing the current level.

Playing YI for DUMMIES

1-1: The Basics

1-2: Fun with Platforms

1-3: Beware of Nep-Enut

1-4: Burt's Forsaken Fort

1-5: Dinosaur's Best Friend

1-6: The Bat Cave

1-7: Spear Guy's Village

And now I present 1-8, the level I'm currently working on:

1-8: Salvo's Tower

Since this is a tower, it is a vertical level. Yoshi must climb the tower while avoiding walking cannons and other foes.

Be careful when riding the platform to the top. There are Blowhards waiting for you to appear.

Once you manage to get to the roof, Thunder Lakitu will ambush you. He knew you were coming because Kamek informed him. Make it to the other side of the roof while avoiding his attacks. The roof is pretty sturdy so don't worry too much about falling stone blocks.

That's pretty much it. Enjoy.

You mean what editor I used? I used Eggvine to hack YI.

The top of the castle is nice, though I think the darker palette would look much more eerie for the top. If you still have a copy of my hack I lent you for beta, I used it in the second room of 6-8 with the interchanging blocks, so you could steal the palette from there.

Other then that, two thumbs up, as always.

Are you referring to the thing room?

If so, I wasn't planning on using background color 0 until 2-1. I've been using a day and night cycle all this time and 1-8 is currently in the late evening phase.
Mine is a mugshot of Storm Eagle from the Stage Select screen in Mega Man X. Storm Eagle is my favorite Maverick mainly because his stage has an awesome song to it.
How are Zelda and Sheik alternate costumes? They are two completely different characters. Sheik may have been an alternate costume of Zelda during Ocarina of Time but this is Smash Bros. we are talking about. In just about all fighting games, alternate costumes are usually the same character with a palette swap. Smash Brothers is no different.

Anyway, today's update reveal more about the story mode. There's even a video to watch as well.
Yeah, retro games are really awesome. I usually play my SNES roms and other old retro consoles on my computer more often than I use my Gamecube or PS2. They are just too addicting that doesn't seem to never get too old to me.

My favorites were the 3 Donkey Kong Country games. They were such an awesome platforming series. It is a shame that the Donkey Kong series went downhill after those 3 games.

On the subject of soundtracks, SNES as well as other retro console seem to have the best video game music. My SNES music collection that alone make up more than 25% of my VGM playlist. That's 300 songs out of about 1130. That's a lot.
Can you people at least put a brief description on what those videos are about before I click on them? Links alone won't grab anyones attention. Just a suggestion.
