I am constructing a hack that will include the original ROM plus another 50-100 levels and I was wondering how to change the event number on multiple levels at once up by one. For example, I have made a level that will be placed next to Yoshi's Island level 3, and I want to shift the event of level 4 and the entire overworld levels up by one to make room for event 5 because level 4 has event 5, is it possible to do such a thing or do I have to do the painstaking work of shifting the levels from scratch one by one?

I am making a hack that consists of the original SMW ROM and an extra 20-100 levels scattered all around the overworld. I was wondering if anyone can help me how to shift the event sequence up by one or more. Right now I am adding a level next to Yoshi's Island 3 and I just hacked the level into having a secret exit. Now this is where I am stuck. I am trying to animate an event that will reveal the secret level, but it is intrfering with another event number. I need help on what to do to shift the original event number and the rest of the the overworld ahead altogether by one.
Note to all I am using Lunar Magic v1.82

I tried that, but the event that leads to Yoshi's Island 4 is messed up. The event does not reveal the path and stays dark.
I already know how to change the level setting to reveal level 4 so you don't have to worry about asking me that.

I made a level that was a "testing" level and redesigned it to be an underground level. The level number is 49, but it does not appear in the list in the "Modify Level Tile Settings" levels list. Is it possible to add such a thing or do I have to use a level listed in the settings. It only has levels 1-24, 1/2(A-F), 100-139, 10/11/12(A-F), and 13(A-B)
I am using L.M. v1.82

I will be making a second hack once my 120+ level hack is completed. I have three questions involving characters to be played instead of Mario.
1. I want to switch Mario with either Luigi or Yoshi, and I have played other's hacks that have one of them. How do I do that?
2. Just like in Super Mario World (GB advanced version), you can switch between characters. Can it possible to be able to switch between character like Mario/Luigi, Mario/Yoshi, Luigi/Yoshi, or all three characters in the hack?
3. I have a friend who loves to play SMW, and I was wondering how to render player 2 to be played as Yoshi instead of Luigi-colored Mario?
Note: I can remove all the blocks and eggs that contain a Yoshi so there is no turmoil between them.
I will thank you for any answer given. It will help me a lot.

to save a lot of trouble and time, there is a text above the Layer 1 FG scroll setting. When you click on a level mode, the text will tell you what type of level it will be. This will also warn you about a boss level mode that keeps you from rendering a level.

From Q#2, Is it possible to switch between 3 characters?

I am using the original ROM plus another 20-50 levels that I am inserting. Also, If you can find lots of room in your overworld, you can go for about 100 plus. The reason that I am asking the three questions is because I want to make the best hack I will make and I will aim for the most 200 levels or higher, the most in SMW history. I will be constructing my own overworld, but will take me about between 6 months(quickest) to about 1 1/2 years(normal). Also, if most levels use warp pipes and stuff like that, you may run out of room very soon, so try to use just about 10 levels that warps you to a different level.
back to Q#2, is it possible to switch between 3 characters?

I got my answer to the possibility of playing as another character, and now I am stuck. I am trying to insert the GFX file to the hack by "inserting hack" on the file menu. The GFX file that I downloaded is untampered. What am I doing wrong this time. I can only find tutorals on how to insert "EX"GFX files in SMWcantral.net and in youtube. I need help!

Thanks, but I am unsure that whatever file I will replace will end up having missing GFX in the hack. Does it matter?

Well my best guess is the type of graphics (00-7f is GFX and 80-ff is ExGFX)
not really confirmable but may be probable

As of right now I have downloaded the yy-chr tool v 0.99. now one problem, is it supposed to be in formula language? Can I change the language to English so that I can understand it? If so help me.

I have counted the number of levels in the hack. The max is 94 levels. Unless there are some people who could bypass that limitation, you can be able to go 100 or even 200 levels. Wish I knew how to do that.

I have one last problem. I have change the palette of the playable character to the correct collors, but I noticed a white block surrounding my character. Did I do something wrong? Do I have to start all over with a new copy of the GFX?

yes. I am trying to make it transparent. Can you help me how to make it transparent again?

It came with graphics, but all of the color was out of order, so I use one of the lines below the editing table and fixed the color from scratch. I then opened up Lunar Magic and open the palette and have the YY-CHR palette next to it to change it to the correct colors. I know which horizontal line is the player palette in Lunar Magic.

It is possible to have yourself warped maybe 1000 times if you use up about 90-100 levels with at least 3-7 different entrances in each level, but there is a limit in the amount of secondary entrances you can set up, along with the other entrances.
