Hi SMWC!

I'm a hockey fan from Anchorage, Alaska. I've been playing hacks for quite a while but never actually joined the site until now. I'm not good with Lunar Magic at all, so don't expect any hacks from me unless something crazy happens and I suddenly get good at hacking.

I had one idea...

W9 - Pinball Panic - A level where Mario is in a pinball machine and has to maneuver through various pinball-like obstacles (pinballs, bumpers, flippers) etc.
Rtyuio54321, I just played through your level. It wasn't bad, but there are a few things that should be touched up on.

1. Pardon me if this sounds nitpicky, but I felt the question block sprites could cause some problems because the question mark on the block appears and disappears. I'd recommend changing it to where the question mark stays the whole time.

2. I felt the P-Switch puzzle in the blueprint section was underwhelming. I understand it might be more of an "action sequence", but if you're trying to make it a "puzzle sequence", I would look into it, because it's really easy.

3. The part near the end of the blueprint section was annoying. I'm not a fan of backtracking, it really isn't fun.

4. The midway point doesn't work.

5. There were a few sections throughout the level that weren't that exciting because there wasn't really any action. I'd recommend looking for places that don't have a lot of action and maybe adding a jump or a few enemies.

Overall, I think you're off to a great start, but there a few things you need to fix.

Beyond The Coliseum - Hard to chose, but I liked this one better

Throwback Galaxy - This is by far my favorite track from SMG2. I personally love the use of all the different band instruments.

Anyways, can't really say I want either team to win. As a Maple Leaf fan, I naturally dislike both of these teams. But, I guess if I have to pick one, I think the Bruins will win.
I felt really, really relieved when I beat Super Monkey Ball 2 on Master Mode + Master Extra. That was brutal.
I just tested your level, and I agree with most of the points that were made earlier by MrDeePay. More specifically...

1. I really, really like the idea of how to get the first two SMWCP coins.

2. For new players, it probably won't be clear what the switches do. Use message boxes to explain their functions.

3. I honestly am not sure about the location of the Chucks throughout the level, especially considering that this is a World 1 level.

4. The section where you have to get across the timed blocks over a pit isn't fair. Add some more time (hopefully at 5-7 more seconds) for the player to get across. If that doesn't work, maybe you should make the entire section pit-free and forgiving, because I lost a lot (at least 2 or 3) of lives on that section.

5. The jumping section near the end of the level really is too hard for world 1. Also, you probably should change the last SMWCP coin's location. I couldn't even reach it, so imagine the frustration of a new player.

6. The level just feels empty overall. Add some scenery or change the terrain, because it feels kind of lifeless right now.

Overall, despite my criticisms, you're doing fine, but I would recommend looking at the points above.

Agie, your level is looking really good. Couple things however...

1. I think there were too many Chucks in this level. They're some of the most annoying enemies in the game, and while I'm not asking to remove every one of them, maybe you should remove one or two.

2. The Golden Forest part was really cool. Good job!

3. I saw no problems with the graphics whatsoever, they looked really nice.

I think this is a great level, the only thing that needs to be done is that there should probably be less enemies.
More specifically, I think the one right after the end of the Golden Forest area (after you go down the pipe) is really, really annoying because it's in a tight space and you don't have a ton of room to get rid of it. That Chuck was responsible for many, many deaths.
OK, so how do I shorten the number of screens a level is? I'm trying to make it to where the level ends at screen 02, where there is a pipe connecting to a sublevel. How would I shorten it?
Oh, OK. Does that mean that in the game, you are not allowed to go past the end of the last screen?

These should all be filed under the alternative category and are great albums.
I know the critics loved it, but I couldn't stand The Gods Must Be Crazy. Its about these people in Africa who think its a "sign from the gods" when a bottle falls from the sky. They don't even speak English and they go crazy over this one bottle before it is revealed it *gasp* fell out of an airplane. I don't even remember how it ended because I turned off my TV halfway through that mess.
I just finished my first ever LM level and I made a cave palette to go with it.







What do you guys think?
The muddy lava is actually water, but it was the only color that had a top that worked. The other one didn't have a top, and that would have made cutoff.

I'm kind of a noob at this, so what would be your suggestions to fixing the background palette?
Well, you can insert regular water, but I can't find the top for it. The animated water top doesn't work in caves, and I really, really don't want to have to deal with cutoff.

Edit - Nevermind, figured it out. Here are some new pictures.







I fixed the FG and BG as well as the water. I did press CTRL+DEL before making this level also.
