Freddy Lin. First year at UC Berkeley. You don't need to know anything else about my personal life; actually there's not much else. I do a little speedrunning, well a lot actually. My DS recently gave up the ghost from sheer overuse. I'm new to this whole hacking business, not new to pixel art and programming, although I can't claim to be good at the first one. ASM seems, to be blunt, a relic out of the Stone Age (my areas of expertise are HTML and friends, TI-BASIC, and C++) although I suppose the SNES is too. Not that I didn't grow up playing it.
So...I've read most of the stuff at the wiki across the street. Any tips for a total noob? (besides the IPS files, no floating munchers, etc etc spiel that probably gets thrown at people with my experience every single time)

Alright, let's run off a few not-so-well-known examples, shall we?
Intersect Thunderbolt Black Package ver., Shining Sword, Holy Orders by Saitama Seisyuu Heiki (SSH for short) would all make truly insane final boss themes.
Rottel the Mercury by sampling masters MEGA or maybe Tranzport by Arkitech for the time-is-running-out theme.
Ninjas Are Still the Hardest by AA.Kurtz, though I think it's already been done, would be a cool boss theme. Ditto for Almost There by Rushjet1 and Midnight Dragon by OSTER Project.
Dark Chancellor's Invisible Secret Robot Castle by Kil for all your invisible castle needs.
Tageri by Sabrepulse for the credits.
And some more Gyatuken Saiban music not named Cornered. "Eccentric" from the third US release would be interesting to use, and I'm just listing that over others because Lisa over there on the right won't get any closer to having her own theme this century.
Oh, almost forgot: A Search for Glory from Metal Warrior 3 deserves a mention as a title screen theme despite blatantly going against the thread title.
