I think he was referring to the Italian version.

I was testing some tiles when I noticed this:

The slope tile acts like 1AA, while the vertical grass tile acts like 150.

Are we allowed to use Layer 3 background?
I'm trying to apply this patch with xkas, of course.

I type in:
Code
xkas.exe PIR.asm smw.smc

and it says "Patch applied with no errors!"
...but the fish-vine graphic is still there.

I've also set freespace to $148000.

I don't know why it doesn't work, so I'm asking some help.
Did I forget something?

Oh, thank you very much, the problem was that I didn't insert the ExGFX file to replace the fish!
The steps you have to follow are identical to the older version, but when you import the map16 files, LM looks for .map16 files instead of .bin, so you have to select "Raw Map16 Files (*bin)" like this:

then the .bin files will show up.

I hope I helped.
It's like the old version:
First you insert the ExGFX pressing the yellow mushroom (after pressing the red, green and blue one, in order of course), then you bypass the GFX pressing the red poisonous mushroom, and then you insert the Map16Page/Map16PageG.
Is there any way to change which tileset is used by Layer 3?
I'd like to use the mist in level 105, but the tileset is 7.

Yeah, it's a really nice 8-Bit tracker!
I worked on a few remixes, like this (without percussion because it's unfinished) or this.
But actually I'm not using it now, since I'm into porting music into SMW.
First of all, I suggest to replace that

with

[r1]11
(where 11 is how many times the music plays [r1]),
doing this will reduce insert size.

Remember: unless you define the octaves with the "o" command (e.g. "o3" without quotes will set the current channel octave to 3), addmusic will take the same octave number of the last note of the previous channel (in channel #0 the default octave would be 3 IIRC).

Another thing you MUST (and I say MUST, bacause it's really important) add is the Echo Buffer (that yellow thing in the previous example) at the very top of your txt. I hope this helped.
