I think it's time for me to actually introduce myself, as I've been lurking the SMW Central forums for a few years.

I've been playing countless SMW hacks from this site and I've been impressed with many of them, but I sometimes wished I could be able to do Let's Plays but my computer was not strong enough to run a video recording program so I had to hold it off.

Fortunately for me I got my hands on a new computer AND a recording program pretty recently, so I was able to finally make Let's Plays of SMW hacks I like - and it was heaven for me. ^^ It's also great that there are always new SMW hacks coming out, therefore I won't ever run out of "work", so to speak, haha.

Oh, and if you want to see my Let's Plays the link is in my signature. Keep in mind that I am deaf, so my videos does not have commentaries. I've also started a few months ago so I do not have many games LP'd, but I hope to continually expand my LP collection!

Anyway, I think I've rambled enough. It was nice meeting you guys and I hope I'll enjoy my stay here! ^_^
When my desktop gets too cluttered I just go through my files and decide if I want to keep or delete/uninstall and then put all the files I want to keep in the appropriate folders and delete/uninstall the rest.
You rank up when you reach certain milestones with your post count, IIRC.

It doesn't give you an excuse to spam up the boards though, just so you're aware.

You are another new user whose name I swear I've seen before somewhere. You were never registered on any incarnations of Acmlm's Board, were you?

Either way, welcome to the site.

Yes, I used to attend the forums, but I went inactive for a long time after a while and my account seems to have been deleted. And, yes, I did try to use my old username and password before registering last night if you're asking.

If this has caused any inconvenience in any way I apologize.
I usually go to bed at 3:30 AM and wake up at 10 AM.

Of course, I adjust it accordingly if I have plans in the morning so I have enough rest.

I'm not sure if this was already bought up or not, but...

I've always had this idea that typically the colored switches makes the levels easier by blocking off enemies or providing power-ups and safety platforms - but what happens if the switches actually did the opposite and made the levels HARDER?

It could block your progress forcing you to find an alternate route, or even keep enemies in certain positions where it would be harder to kill or get past or make jumps even more dangerous, so on.

Of course, for this to work you'd have to be forced to hit the colored switches somehow.

I've always wanted to try something like this but unfortunately I'm not a hacker.

Well, it's just an idea I had!
Oh, man, I loved Mario Gives Up and there's already a sequel? I'll definitely have to add this game to my queue of games I want to LP. ^^
I like reading mangas. Heck, I have a bookshelf devoted to just that.

I also like to read graphic novels, game guides, and certain informative books (like Ripley's Believe It Or Not! and Guinness World Records).
I was sad that Drawn Together was cancelled.

Me and my friend would watch it together and have good laughs about it during college. X3
For some reason I like oddball anime that isn't as widely known as Naruto and Bleach, and covers subjects that aren't normally done as well.

Hikaru No Go
Negima!
Yakitate!! Japan
Case Closed
Lucky Star

I even have the manga counterparts of the anime listed above. It's unfortunate there's no sight of the rest of Case Closed series being translated and released in the States though. =/
I mainly play adventure, platformers, RPG's, racing, puzzle and some strategy and simulation games. Oh, and MMORPGs if you do consider that as a genre.

The only genres I don't like to play are fighting, shooter and horror.

Everything else is just a "meh" to me.
I went ahead and LP'd your celebratory level, MarioFan22. You can find it here.

Congrats on your 1,000th post, even if it's a few days late. ^^

Or a really really early April Fool's joke, depending on how you look at it.

But, yeah, I wouldn't want to LP a game with that eye-searing palette, let alone play it for a couple of levels.

If you want to make a "Mario Hell" game just start from scratch and try to use custom, hell-based graphics. A good example would be the graphics in this level. It's not exactly hellish, but you get the idea. Another good example is this (if you have queasy stomach, you better skip this video).

Of course, make sure you are permitted to use the graphics AND don't overdo it. The game will get boring if you use the same graphic set for every level.

I thought of something pretty interesting just now.

Instead of the usual ol' "Peach has been kidnapped, so it's up to Mario to go to Bowser's Castle to rescue her!" plotline, what if it was reversed? "Mario/Luigi/Peach/Whoever has kidnapped Bowser, so it's up to Bowser Jr. to go to Peach's Castle to rescue him!".

You could start off at Bowser's Castle and go through the worlds in a reverse order (instead of starting off at Grass Land and ending up at Bowser's Land, you start off at Bowser's Land and end up at Grass Land at Peach's Castle, for example).

This would probably likely require some ASM editing, however, since the last boss would obviously be Mario, Luigi, Peach or what have you, or even a possessed/cloned Bowser that was a result of an experiment they were doing at Peach's Castle.

If a SMW hack existed like that, I'd play it. ^^
I have a boyfriend, and we've been together for almost 7 years now.

We met through a friend of ours online, but we never actually did hit it off at first. A few years later, we were introduced again, and we really hit it off and we've been together ever since.

Yes, I am surprised that an online relationship has lasted this long, but hey, it's possible. He and I hope to live together someday though. He still has college to go through and all, so... yeah.

I did have a girlfriend waaaaaay back then but it didn't really work out, although we were together for about 4 years which was the second longest relationship I've been in (which was also an online relationship).
I am currently LP'ing various SMW hacks. You can view them on my Youtube. Each video typically covers one or two levels, so it will be easy to pick them out if you need to find a specific level. I also did several one-shot SMW hacks (which means hacks that doesn't warrant their own Playlists due to the amount of levels, length or both).

Completed List:
- Secret of the Seven Golden Statues
- Super Demo World the Legend Continues
- Back to the Classics
- Mario Gives Up
- SMW2+3: The Essence Star
- A Strange Mission
- An SMWC Production
- Second Reality Project Reloaded

Currently in Progress:
- Second Reality Project 2
