I'm almost done! By the way, it has some of the same bosses, but most of them are modified. Well, gotta go soon.

EDIT: Something like this, but with the door

That's what I meant with the windows. To change it, go to the 16x16 tile editor, go to the translucent block, copy it over to another page, change it to tile 34 (dirt tile), and there, you have a passable window.
Another thing you might want to do is give the house some scenery. Like in my hack, I made Yoshi's house surrounded by trees (Using Yoshi's old roof).

About the secret in World 1-4, here's a hint: You don't hit the P-Switch. You bring it with you through the pipe! That's all I'm saying.
Against the mirror Mario, I think you spin-jump on the blocks on the floor, then get the mirror Mario to walk through.

I'm obviously missing something though, since I can't find a page option on the 16x16 editor.
This is what I've tried, though-
I used 8x8 tiles 8E, 8F, 9E and 9F as the block, then had it act like Tile 34, and didn't change the pallete.
Only problem is, I have ho idea what to change to make the block. Or am I doing it wrong completely?
I'll go through it step by step.
1. Go to MAP16 or 16x16 Editor.
2. Using the arrow keys, scroll ONE page down.
3. Find the Translucent Block, go to a fresh page, and paste it by RIGHT CLICKING on a BLANK SQUARE (Do not paste on the FIRST TWO PAGES, or you'll be screwed later on. The blank square looks like 4 individual squares.).
4. Left click the copied Translucent Block, go to the Edit 16x16 Attributes, go to the bottom of the menu, change the tile behavior from 12C to 34.
5. When you're done, paste it over the originally-copied block and press F9 (Be sure you extracted your GFX by going to File, Graphics, Extract GFX.).
6. Open up your Add Objects Window, and change the menu to Direct Map16 Access.
7. Scroll down with the arrow keys until you find the copied Translucent Block.
8. Click it, and paste it. You now have your new window.

Count me in *bookmarks* By the way, I saw your hack being played by AzureBlade49. Pretty good stuff.

I'm planning on doing ANOTHER hack, but this time, it's a shooting one. The only problem I have is that the ammo counter from the patches section requires that I use Xkas (I'm using the coin one, not the score one.). Can someone please tell me how to do this correctly?

With the ShootEmUp Patch, can you make it so that Mario shoots as all forms, not just super?
Also, is there a way to make the fireball stop spinning?
EDIT: I added another two things.
3: How can I make smwhealth Mario stay big instead of being small on the last hit point?
4: The graphics for the smwhealth patch are screwed. Anyone know what to do?

-->Makes enemies fall off screen instead of turning into a coin
-->Raise Bullet Height

But I guess if you don't wish to always have that specific interaction field then you could change this:
With a hex editor... change 0x5284 to 00 for all fireballs.
*Checks, then Submits to ROM MAP*
[HUGE FAT ASS NOTE:] I remember why I didn't make Mario shoot when he is little. He still uses the Fire Mario frame for when he shoots. You can still go in, and edit this yourself, but... It'd take longer... and it'd just create more problems for you...
As for the second question [stop the fireball from spinning]
All you need to do is play around with the GFX file (GFX.00)
and position the fireball so it's exactly the opposite of its other frame. This will make it look like it's not spinning, even though it is...
It works though
As for your last 2 questions.. I dunno. I've never even downloaded that patch yet XD
Actually, if I could fix the last two problems, it would fix my problems.

Can someone help me out with ExGFX? How do I insert the ExGFX without the Map16page and Map16pageG? If it helps, I'm trying to use the New Super Mario Bros. ground in the ExGFX section by Remnic.

10 years from now, smwcentral.net will be filled with everything ranging from news to hacks (on the menu). Super Mario World might be turned into 3-D like New Super Mario Brothers. And Super Mario World may end up being in everyone's recycle bins because there will be new things to hack.

I tried using both Yoshis in the patches section and they both don't work. Can someone tell me how to replace Mario graphics with Yoshi graphics? Or, can someone give me a patch? Any help would be appreciated (as long as it's related to this thread!)
EDIT: The only reason why it didn't work is because the music was screwed.

As the ExGFX description says, you don't need to use any map16 page since these ExGFX replace the original SMW grass.
I know that, but I meant how do you replace it? Overwrite it?

Does anyone know how to fix the P-Switch/Star Glitch (The glitch is that when you press a Switch or get a Star, the music goes on forever until you go into another room)? If you can't fix it, how do you change it to no music?
