Hey, I'm like a person only blue and not actually blue at all... Umm... Hi.

Welcome, I be new as well... I... be... :S
Enjoy your stay (or don't, as the case may be.)

Why thank you, I hope to have a mirthful time and maybe show off an adroit level of hacking.

My goodness! Perhaps this is the most exciting point in my life. Then again...
Thank you all for such a warm welcome. (I'd insert a smiley here but by God would that ruin the "professionalism" of this sentence.)

Ahoy there people!
May I ask a question, this is sorta important, you know, my hack lies in the fate of whether this is answered or not.
Anyway, enough formality (what's it for anyways?)
When I import ExGFX, and insert a lovely little page of Map16 + Map16G data, like you do, and all that appears are lots of black squares in the position where the graphics should be.
Furthermore (you want me to shut up don't you, come on, you know you do.)
What GFX number is the one that feature those funky (normal) question-mark blocks, the ones with mushrooms and ship in (see, i'll never swear, f*** yeah!)
Anyways, I hope having added a dollop of charm to this query I may get people to go "Hey Mr. Guy, Blargy Blargy Blargy Blarg!" and then I'll go, "Don't Use A Capital Letter At The Start Of Every Word, You Look Like An Idiot!"
*Cough* Message/Insanity over.
Thank you, farewell, enjoy your life.
Why are you still reading this?

Why thank you, my general ignorance forced it's way up into my brain where it decided "Aha! I shall make this guy a little dimmer than he was before!"
It works now! Once again, thank you!
Now I must go and kill that super robotic racoon.
Thank you.
Thanks.
Etc.

Quite frankly, I'm not clever - I can't make a good omelette (actually, that's a lie, I pride myself mostly on my cooking skills), I couldn't write a novel to save my life (but how a novel would save my life I have no idea), in fact, even in the ever-changing world of SMW hacking, I'm, to say the least, rubbish.
So then, here I am, talking about my hack - ASM-less, custom sprite-less etc. - and the thing is, I'm actually with a rather bigger than small level of confidence. But why? Because even though I know my hack won't change hacking forever, I do know something else, simplicity can sometimes be the best way, and hopefully, over the coming - insert length of time here - my hacking skills shall hopefully grow and flourish.
Without-a-doubt, you've probably moved on to the exciting screenshots to judge whether my hack is worth any level of interest (I know that's what I would be doing.)
Now then, lets get cracking, on this game which currently is without a story, name or anything like that. Enjoy!
Pictures from the first level: Verdant Valley

Walking along, all day long (the most dissatisfying rhyme in history.)

Mario, how many time do I need to tell you, you can't eat the item box.

You too, Piranha Plant.
Picture from the second level: Cloud Crowd

Oh darn.
There you go, what do you guys think of Insert Name Here?

@Henix Why thank you, while constructive criticism is helpful, nothing can beat being praised! ^^
And graphics you say - well, I've been looking for question-mark blocks, coins and concrete blocks - not saying you have to or anything (well of course you don't, this is a place of free-speech ) but that'd be great, I've never been good with requests. Can you tell ;)
@EvilGuy0613 So great to hear, well, either way, I try my best.

Unless there is some level design gimmick I'm missing, it doesn't really look too exciting.
Cloud Crowd - nice name, by the way - looks very nice. I really like the palette and overall feel on this one, and the level design looks interesting there as well.
In conclusion, you are of to a great start for a new hacker! May you be successful in your future level(s)!
Verdant Valley, yes, it is pretty generic, but it's not done yet, I've yet to spruce up the palletes, re-make a few things, add a few secrets - etc.
Thank you for this lovely feedback, it's like Christmas!
In fact, I've designated the name for the level - Rebels' Rocks.

OK then, time for a generally unexciting post - now then, I would have been working non-stop on this game but life is, a bit, "ungood" (that word is so going in my personal dictionary.)
Now, if you want to know, my day sorta happened like this. So, after waking up really late, I had no time to have a shower (that is like ), or have breakfast, so, along came my dad to pick me up to take me to school (him and my mum broke up many years ago due to his depressiveness) and he was miserable, he cried practically all the way to school. We got there and all was quite sad through the day.
Then came games/PE/running-around-playing-football-on-a-wet-field-in-the-middle-of-nowhere, it was already pretty bad (sport is not my kinda thing, to me, every Thursday is hell) but then in the distance was a storm cloud. As it approached, the wind-speed picked up (so much that leaves were flying everywhere.) It was freezing, my face was numb and then, it started to rain - and by God did it rain, it was some of the most rain I've ever experienced, but it was yet to get worse. It started to hail. We ran for cover but the thing is, because the wind-speed was so high, the hail pelted into us, so much that it hurt, it was like being under heavy gunfire, we had to walk backwards otherwise it would really really hurt. During this time I could barely see.
So, I survived, only to come home to 4 hours of homework and in the end I was too tired to do any hacking. There. I bet you didn't want to know anything about my day but now you probably know - if you read it that is.
Well, that was my day, but now to share some plans - I may not have any screenshots to share but I can reveal that I will add some exciting layer 3 stuff into Cloud Crowd, start working on Rebels' Rocks and plan a cave level, I think it'll be like and underground jungle - maybe, I'll see where it goes.
Expect screenshots by tomorrow - or don't as the case may be, but if there aren't any, don't assume I'm dead - but why you'd think that I don't know.
Thank you and goodbye.

That's a pretty funky looking hack you got there - from the original title to the creative style of graphics, this hack certainly stands out. I really like this!

This looks interesting! But (and this may just be nitpicking) I think the different graphic styles aren't consistent - par exemple - that underground section's standard SMW graphic style doesn't quite match the rest of that level. Also - I agree with Wormer, a bit more decoration can go a long way! And finally, the name, not sure really. It doesn't really entice me. But for now, keep one this track and success will come your way.
I like it, basically.

Wow, I may not be a fan of the redrawn graphics (but that's just personal taste), aside from that though, this looks fantastic!

While a few palletes are bugging me a little (like the brown in the pipe and the brightness of the land at times) this is good, keep going. Nothing more to say really

So you want to know what you're doing wrong and right? Right? (see what I did there, ha. Ha. Ha) Let's start with what you're doing right, well, you're overworld is nicely structured, and that is good. What isn't so good is that most of those land-forms are plain and square, try experimenting with curve edged tiles, it may be more difficult and take a while but the end result is worth it. Furthermore, it'd be nice if you added some decorations, more rocks, small smiley-hills, large smiley-hills etc.
If it's any consolation, I'm making the OW for my hack right now so I know how hard it is.
