I joined some days ago but basically procrastinated my actual foruming part because I was toying around/learning html (Because frankly I didn't know it before so I thought I should know just a little bit).

I'm fairly incapable of any advanced editing that is custom (I'm toy with palettes and create my own backgrounds with the resources at hand) but otherwise I could never seem to get any custom thing to work so I've decided to work with Vanilla resources to see what I can do with it, so yep. I have a problem of if I work on something for too long, I get bored of it, so I don't even know if I'll ever upload a romhack. I'm on my fourth created romhack (the first was god awful, the second was overall just too hard, third whatever, and the fourth is looking okay except I haven't done anything yet)

I adore games ranging from the nightmarish Amnesia: The Dark Descent, all the way to the lil' cute Kirby series. Music-wise I listen to basically everything (although I could never get into Rap or Jazz..)

Anyway I really shouldn't rant on about unimportant information. I hope I fit in with you guys and everything, so yep.

That concludes that.

Oh and I hope my avatar is fine :P
PEOPLE WHO ARE HOMOPHOBIC

and um like religious people who provoke arguments (sweet jesus you can't prove god is real so he must not be!)

people who cannot for their dear life accept others musical tastes (I see this most with bands like DragonForce, Avenged Sevenfold and nearly any current Metalcore band (Black Veil Brides, Bring Me The Horizon, etc))

Sexist people. No. All I can muster to say to them is just a mere and somewhat simple "No"

that's about it off the top of my head.
Item Babysitting usually doesn't pose a problem. USUALLY.

Of course I had a little problem with a segment of babysitting, in MKM2's Armageddon place (Name slipped my mind), where I had to backtrack with a trampoline. There was a part with floating platforms over lava. Problem was, with me holding the trampoline, one of the platforms would despawn, making it completely impossible.

So it's okay, but you should make sure stuff like that wouldn't happen.
oh, uh. It really depends on whether the creator of the hack implements some form of multiple mid-way points (...which I do believe is an available patch, so there's really no excuse) If they do, then I am okay with it. But when you have a long-as-hell level, and one mid-way point, then I don't like it.

Short levels are good for the beginning, they could gradually get a bit longer. Like Yoshi's Island, which I believe does incorporate multiple midway rings..

But I'm getting a bit off-topic.

I am currently part way through Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, and Left4Dead2.

what an assortment of games.
Great game, yes.

but oh god why don't we throw
Galacta Knight
into the final arena-esqua area?

I was seriously confused there. Fanservice I guess.

I could go on about everything and anything but I tend to keep little or else I go on and mumble about something completely and utterly unrelated.

fun.
currently it happens to be Smile Upon Me, by Passion Pit.

that's utterly fantastic. I discovered Passion Pit about an hour ago off of Borgore's cover of Sleepyhead.

Sleepyhead would make a great name for some horror game. Or maybe I'm just thinking that or something./
Boku No Pico (Nonono, only joking)

Um, well, you could go with classic Pokemon, or even try some other series like Dinosaur King.

Kids love Dinosaurs.
I've had the song Deathaura, by Sonata Arctica, stuck in my head for quite a while now.
"It's a fact, she's exactly that! A harbinger of death, from the world of witchcraft"

oh boy I could go on all day with that song.
In Flames T-Shirt, Mario Kart 7 & Super Mario 3DS Land, money, some other stuff.

yeah it was a stellar and intense christmas.

Hacking isn't the problem. It's just I tend to grow bored partway through and then hit a rut basically.

Ah well.
oh boy.

Um, basically really weird things.

Like this hack I'm working on has a level called "Still Water", which focuses on rain and stuff, and it's inspired by the song "Still Water" by Structures.

In terms of graphics, for me it's Super Mario 2, 3 and Wario Land. I incorporate certain aspects of Yoshi's Island stuff, but I personally don't like hacks that use the grass tileset from Yoshi's Island because for me, it doesn't look right.
I was curious how you'd do this, because I've seen the lightning effect from Bowser's battle, in Super Mario World, placed into playable levels, even in Vanilla hacks (at least I swore they were)

So I was curious how I would get around to doing that.

Ohhhhh, alright, thanks,
Woah, that's brilliant. I only have one concern, and I don't know how much you could do about it, but I think if the midway point's front bar is red, then maybe the back part of it should be red, too. It just looks some-what odd.
Westboro Baptist Church

except at this point it stopped bothering me because they're all retarded.

so to speak.

Why, I'll need a sunset (or sunrise) background for 3-1 very soon, and I haven't a clue where to get one.

I don't know what theme you have for world three, but the only sunset-type background I can think of would be this, a background from Wario Land 4

It comes with a pseudo-HDMA to create a sunrise/set type style. I don't know if it would be of any use, though, as it doesn't actually show the sun setting/rising or whatever.
I think the Switch Palaces should be edited, but I think many people forget what the Switch Palaces were, Bonus Areas. They generally would give you enough coins (through P-Switch, or other means), and at the end you would get a 1-UP. You didn't really have to worry about dying in them (if you did you might be a tad clumsy), or the what-not.

So yeah.

And I've seen a whole truck load of unchanged Switch Palaces.
