Hello, fellow, er, people. I am new here, if you couldn't already guess. Forgive me if my introduction seems disorganized, I just... well I don't have an excuse for that. I generally am sarcastic and competitive, but I can work seriously and productively with others. I've been playing hacks on this site for a while, and I've attempted to learn all I can to make my own hack... but it just seems like a foreign language to me. (I've read many of the tutorials, but I don't think I should turn this into a help thread.) Anyways, I am extremely talented in real-life art and music (and modesty), but I have nominal experience in programming and general "geek stuff." This place seems like a well-built community, so I think I'll settle down here for a while. Any questions, comments, corrections, confessions, or proclamations: you know how to reach me. Other miscellaneous information - I am 17 and have little experience in lunar magic. I've been writing my own music for a little while (5% of which is directed toward this place). I don't like country, rap, or Modest Mouse. I am, however, a huge metal fan (PtH, JFaC, BoO, Emmure, Suicide Silence, Acacia Strain, etc.) and a tiny dubstep fan. If you feel you can help me in SMW music or Lunar Magic, I tend to learn new subjects in sort of a parabolic way (slow at first, but accelerates uickly).
Edit: Can anyone explain to me why bronies exist or why they became popular on this site? I don't mind them, and I don't know why becoming one has the slightest appeal to me...

Just as a note: Make sure you check tutorials on how to insert/patch right BEFORE you do so or else you'll screw up your hack. I suggest patching right away if you can, in case something goes wrong so you don't lose all your data.
Thanks, dude! You answered another question before I even asked it.
Also, I'm not sure if anyone has already done this, but is it possible to add a fifth switch palace and ! block to a hack? I apologize if there is an obvious answer, I just felt it couldn't hurt to ask people.

Do you know where (or if) I can find this? I found playthroughs of it, but not anything that would allow me not to create it myself (awkward sentence, I know). If not, I can work around it. The five switches are not a crucial part or anything.

It only gets tricky when you try to do something that SMW's engine wasn't really designed for, such as using custom Layer 3 backgrounds or changing the BG mode (which very few people have successfully done). There is at least one tutorial for Layer 3 stuff, though.
Apologies, but I assumed that the difficulty of starting editing and inserting (and changing layer 3) was less black-and-white than I would have hoped.
I appreciate the help and miscellaneous tips If I have the planned structure of my worlds and overworlds, would it be problematic to post it? I can edit any small changes I may decide to make.
