i'm looking for a patch/generator. you know you have to collect 5 yoshi coins to get a 1up and the coins disappear or something. i want them to be only 3 cause i don't want to set 5 in each level. is there this patch/sprite/generator anywhere? i didn't find it on smwc and other forums. so i'm asking if someone could send me the thing if someone does own it.

When using custom music, do not set the music bypass to 00 in a level with a switch/star; it will endlessly loop.

You should get a new rom or a backup and start inserting the music again. Don't use more than 1 AddMusic.
anyone here with some time? i have the following disassemblies of original smw sprites:

grinder (non line-guided)
boo stream
reflecting fireball
thwimp
ball 'n chain
bowser statue fireball (normal one, NO GENERATOR just the own sprite)

they should be the half of the original speed faster, as example:

speed 50 = speed 75

i don't know how the set all the bytes in the different 30 lines in each .asm file with x speed y speed and so on. i know what everything means but i can't set it correctly so i'm hoping anyone of you could make that for me. i've downloaded all the sprites above here on smwcentral, the thwimp is from romi's sprite tool.

i'm editing GFX2A with YY-CHR Beta 2 0.98 (i hate 0.99).

you have to show it in GB to see all letters.
in SNES mode you can't see all the letters.

i'm editing the yoshi foot sign, i want a key.


i changed the mode to GB and made a key. here:




but in lunar magic you can only see the yoshi foot sign.

i think i have to edit the gfx2a file in yy-chr again in snes mode, but how?

You need to uncheck it whenever you work with individual GFX Files instead of AllGFX.bin.

everything is right. but i've checked "use joined GFX" and unchecked it just 4 fun and inserted the gfx files again and there he is: my key!

I deleted all sprites in the ow sprites thingy and added to one of the last three losts ghost x2. After that Luigi appeared on the Yoshi's Island map.

Is this important? Can I set now the starting position for a 2 player game for each player? Is this a function of the newest Lunar Magic? I don't know, so I'm asking.

There was no Luigi under mario, only after deleting all the smoke ghost fish koopa kid sprites on the overworld.

WTF man, i never knew that there's a Luigi under my Mario. Since 2009 I'm moving only Mario... ._.

Luigi's overworld sprite is only available in Lunar Magic in 1.91.

1. good job, the ow looks awesome. is this your work?
2. i think you used the right path tile with the fish symbol in it, there are 2 symbols. have you tried to change the slot for the fishes in the sprite ow setting?
wrong section.

so if you have no ideas you should play some hacks here. there's so much you can use for making a level, you should beginn with a vanilla level (that means you use only the things in your smw rom). you can edit the very first level (105) and make some experiments with sprites and blocks to learn how everything works while playing. badly i have no screenshot of any of my older hacks, i found a video. here:

If you haven't noticed, he said that the cave and the amazonas are old. I'm going to assume that since he said old he won't be using them anymore, which is a good idea, because they don't look good. The new ones, however, look pretty nice.


if you haven't noticed, i wrote "old" by myself.


you can't know if he's using a level only cause it's old.
