Is there a way to use more than 96 levels on the overworldmap?
|
|
|
|
I've counted them >_< (ok, maybe i missed 1 or 2)
I mean when you can select a level to use for a leveltile, is that limited at 96? (or some other number)

And to answer the question: You can use levels 1-24 and 101-13B on the Overworld Map.
Oke, but you can't use more levels above the 13B? (I know you can't select them, but is it maybe possible with some kind of tool?)

EDIT: I remade the OW for Koopa Cape.
PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: English isn't my native language, so some of my sentences will may sound strange.
We (I and my best friend) are already some months busy with SMW-hacking. This hack will use custom sprites/graphic/music (nothing special for the most people here)
This is our first real hack, so we would like some advice to improve.
Also if someone knows a good name, please post him
World 1: Koopa Cape
BEFORE

AFTER

This is the overworld from the first world named Koopa Cape
Some screenshots from Koopa Cape 1/2:

Hmm, I wonder what's down here...

Yay, Free coins!

Random Koopa Cape 2 screenshot

Free points for everyone!! (too bad, you can't do something special with them)
And as last, a video of Koopa Cape 2 (with one huge blooper):

It's the first world/levels and in mine opinion it has to be a little flat, but in other worlds you can expect the opposite. (World 6:Sherbet Cliffs is a good example)
I think the similarity is mostly because I haven't changed the graphics yet, but I mainly focus on the levels first.
I agree about the difficulty, but I can say that the levels are harder beyond World 1.
Here are some new screenshots as evidence for what I said before:

Koopa Cape 3 will be the first level with climbing-parts.

If you enter the pipe, you'll see the first P-switch puzzel in the game, if you somehow manage to fail at this one, you can use the Reset-pipe the reset the room.

More climbing in Koopa Cape 3

First ghosthouse in the game.

How am I supposed to get back up there???

After some tricky jumps, you'll find the P-switch to complete the level.
