Hey, welcome to our C3 Booth of this year!
Some of you may remember this thread from the last C3. Looking back at it, I must say it was a bigger success than I ever thought it would be...
But in the last few months I wasn't quite satisfied with the older levels, so every level has brand new graphics and overall a better level design.
With that being said, I would like to show you the trailer for Demo 1, which will be released probably tomorrow.
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/93wCrOG9W3c&hl=nl_NL&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/93wCrOG9W3c&hl=nl_NL&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
This thread will be updated with some additional info and screenshots later on.

@ X-treme:
Yep, along with most of the other graphics in the trailer.
@ Yonowaaru:
It will be 2 worlds long, with a total of 13 levels.
@ Jeorge535:
Thanks =)

Woah.. this looks really good Atma and Buster Beetle.
Did you draw all those graphics yourselves btw?

Nice job indeed. Maybe I will use it sometime... (Especially that Ceiling Generator)

Thanks Ersan, you just gave me inspiration for a whole new level.

Nice work. I like the fact of the SMWC -smiley as the playable character (I'm the 4th person to tell you that). The gimmick is also great although you may want to expand it a little.
Keep up the good work

@Rameau's Nephew
That'll explain itself later in the plot. But I agree, the name isn't really that creative :/

Seems nice WYE.
I'd love to play SMB1 with your graphics

Thwomp Bomb... a pretty good idea I must say.
The Mad Thwomplike thwimp sounds like an easier boss as Mad Thwomp himself or - if you are very sadistic - you put them both in the same room
nice work dahnamics

Is this your first Hack?? Cause it's your first post...
If so, it looks really nice overall.
(btw, I haven't played it yet so I judge on the screenshots)
The overworld looks ok to me and the screenshots too.
Although the palette of the first screenshot is a bit too green.
Maybe ingame it doesn't bother..
yeah... actually I haven't got anything to say no more

@SonicBlue77
I drew both the house and the Chain Chomp (a tad like you mentioned)
There's only one level not ready for the demo now en that's Sky Villa (themed Ghosthouse and Sky)
When that level's complete the demo will be released

That's a bunch of screenshots indeed.
I like the overworlds, they seem very nice to me.
Also the leveldesign caught my attention (what else?) which also seems very nice.
Can't wait to play this Kristian.
My compliments

I've literally just finished the second boss, it's Hooktail:

He spits normal fireballs in your direction and shoots flames that go horizontal.

Just awesome. I especially like the Paper Mario Hammer and the NSMB Shell.

Seems rather quiet here...
I must say your GFX looks pretty decent. They are well designed, but lack a certain feel to it. (Could be just me, though.)
They've got a interesting palette too, especially the one in the second screenshot.

Maybe I'll learn ASM in 2010. As an intention (I hope I use that word correctly).
With your tutorial of course. =)

Can there be a better hack than TSRPR?
I'll be looking forward for this one.

@ Hadron:
Thanks, but I think your trailer was a bit more "epic". (I guess the most plays a big role in it.)
@ E-Man:
Nope, I haven't drawn the graphics of Hooktail mysef, I've ripped them from a spritesheet. The smaller fireballs can be compared with diagonal baseballs (from the Chucks). The bigger flames are the same as those from the Bowser Statues.
@ GearboxGoober:
Thanks for your comment.
@ 1UPdudes:
Badge? SFX? Mario?
I get the reference, Paper Mario 2 is one of my favorite Mario-RPG's =)
Also, here are some screenshots of Hooktails lair, Flaming Fortress:

Well, I guess you can see why it's called flaming.

Well, two magnificent ExGFX files is a lot better than nothing =)
I really like that Fall GFX set. The way you shade and draw decorations feels so fitting with each other, the details are really awesome. (Take that scarecrow for example, who would think to draw that?)
In short; I simply adore your drawing skills and those are definitely some of your better graphics.
