Well, there doesn't seem to be any more "Proper" introduction threads that I've found? ... or maybe I'm just too lazy to look. :|
Anyway, I've been hanging around the IRC Chatroom for a bit, and I've been told to register and post here, so, I did. :3 Hopefully I shall not be blamed if that decision is regretful somehow, like if I make a pass at too many girls.
But enough about myself, this thread shall now be about the subject that might as well be myself because I probably know more about it than anyone else here; The Satellaview.
Before you all go asking "WHAT IS IT?", Link spamming time.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satellaview
A blog I've set up to try to research and educate on the subject matter is linked in my profile. I do quite a lot of work on it. It doesn't look visually appealing yet, but it has some things that are difficult to find otherwise.
Hopefully I've made a constructive thread by making this one.

I do have a mild interest in taking a different approach to a Zelda. An Industrialized Hyrule might help there.
If I had to pick out an art-style to distinguish this from the other ones, I think I'd try seeing how a "Bruce Timm's DCAU Batman" style would look on Zelda cast.
I'm doubting the validity of the rumors though. In particular, Nintendo does not habitually announced a game without enough multimedia for us to know what the gameplay is like months in advance.

Just a post from my perspective;
Being someone who does a lot of Japanese searches on a particular subject, I will say that I would not put it past the Japanese to hide something from the foreign eye to the best of their ability. Sometimes, it takes more than just a "google search" for me to obtain something. Lately, I've been trying to use the program Winny to get some files, and it's fairly difficult, but I've gotten quite a few bizarre things you will probably not find on search engines alone.
However, in this specific case... hacking tools do not seem like the kind of thing they would have a vested interest in hoarding. There is little collector's value in them, and more incentive to get famous by releasing it, rather than not. On the other hand, in my searches I seem to get the perception at times that the Japanese emulation/ROM hacking culture is a bit more underground compared to other regions (Which would be reasonable considering Nintendo could much more easily get to them than us), so perhaps that might have something to do with it...?

Trying to participate here... Not necessarily good at decision-making democracy, though. On top of this, I'm still a bit new here... fff

Might be easier to just link to the particular element that annoys you at
TV Tropes
For reference, "Refuge in Vulgarity" and "Mood Whiplash" are two of my own pet peeves.

To give me a bit of clarification - this is a block that turns Mario -into- Luigi, and assumedly one for the inverse, right? (and assumedly, this would work best in a patch where they actually have technical differences, like the traditional "Luigi jumps higher but slides around like his shoes are ice")
I figure I should be a bit more helpful, so I'll test that, aye.
(If anyone dares to do the Chaotix combi-ring in a Mario game, this would be humorous to see.)

Transfer speed: more or less 80KB/s. It keep fluctuating a lot. Likely my own connection issues.
Region: USA.
Speedtest.net freezes when I try to use it. The best results I got were 1279kb/s download and 72 kb/s upload, I believe.

Also, "Blast Processing" was really just a Sega marketing gimmick. Most of people who bought into that term didn't even know what the heck it meant.

1. For the success of obscure game/system archival. Especially the Satellaview, 64DD, and uh... the Sega Pico and Casio Loopy. The piracy game scene also needs some nice archival IMHO. And Arcade hardware, ayeee.
2. For other people to see value in what I do - not for personal fame, but for the sake of the work itself. If there's a chance I can't finish it, will someone else take up my slack? Will I be the master of something no one else cares for, or will I someday be able to be surpassed like a master teaching his students? I worry about this often.
3. To be able to support the people that may need me. I don't want to be a leech or an abuser. I want to believe people are better off when I'm helping them...
