Hey, I'm trying to use gps but whenever I open my rom I get this error. The file is in the same folder as my rom and I can't type in my hack or it doesn't open. Any help?

PS: Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, this is my first post :P

Thanks for the help! I fixed the problem by just re-downloading gps and it just fixed itself. Have a nice day c:

Heyo, I was just using pixi and I got the error "Error on line 1. Invalid line start. I'm not really sure what happened as it was working fine before and it just suddenly stopped. I tried doing it without anything being in the list.txt file and that didn't change anything, I tried removing the asm and cfg files I inserted and that did nothing as well. The weird thing is I tried running the two earlier versions of Pixi downloadable on this website and they both worked fine... I then tried using the 1.2.1 version and it didn't work even though this time I changed nothing. I have no idea what went wrong and I spent a good half hour trying to fix the problem but to no avail. I feel like it's something obvious but I lack in any strong knowledge on how Pixi works. And yes the folder is isolated from anything else and I was dragging my rom into pixi as otherwise it can't be found. Any ideas?

EDIT: I tried putting the smc file in the same folder as pixi and when I ran it, it stuck around for a bit then crashed.

Maybe this?
Code
header
lorom

org $00EB79
db $A9,$00
org $01B4C0
db $A0,$00
org $03B67C
db $A9,$00

With the graphics, for big Mario remove the upper portion.

As the title suggests, I was wondering if, for example, I used file 80, then could I use file 81 but still be able to use file 80 with all the graphics? I've looked around but can't find anything...

I'm relatively new to this and have no idea about how I would go around doing that. Whenever I change the file in use it gets rid of the blocks' gfx.

I was wondering if there was any way to change how long it would be until the intro text showed up in my hack. Any ideas?

The description explains how to do it, sorry for the bad quality. If you have any other questions just dm me on discord or something.

I was wondering if there was any way to have a patch take place on a specific level. For example, the wall jump patch, if I wanted it to only apply for one level how could I get around doing it? I know there are blocks and it's just an example. Also, how do you remain small Mario after getting a checkpoint? I've wondered for a while...

I was just wondering how you make your hack in which it has its own saves. For example, if I use the original rom and get 10 stars, I got into my rom which I've been editing, but I have 10 stars on one of the files.

Sorry if this is simple, I'm kind of new to this.

I've looked around for this block but all links that I've been on are dead. Can anyone hook me up?

This seems like a stupid question, but say for example I want a blue POW, but when I place it down, the x axis position makes it a silver POW.

I'm sure there's an easy way to get past this, I just can't figure it out.

For what it's worth, I thought there was a disassembly of the P-switch that lets you do that, but it turns out there's not. Get on it, spriters.

Yes this, but containing the new colour's properties, so if the switch is placed where it would normally be silver, it would be blue instead with the blue p-switch effects.
