Go on the dropdown menu and select any event that you haven't already used. Next, click in the box below and change the '6' to any number you like from 1 to 77. (In your case '7').

I originally started using Gamemaker in 2008 and I eventually finished my very first game. Later that year,I was watching some video's of SMW on youtube and I started using Lunar Magic/SMWC

Thanks, I have now called my level 'Rocky Rise'.
I have finished my old levels and I have decided to work on a beach-themed level:

What do you think?

I have decided to start making my overworld, since I now have too many levels to test at once
This is a picture of the first submap, the grassland area:

What do you think? Should I delete it or keep it?

Thanks.
I am continuing working on the overworld at the moment, but I am continuing my water level:

World 2 Overworld. I am not sure whether to keep this. What do you think?

There was coins on the cloud ledge, but I have already collected them.

Unless you have something constructive to say, then don't say it.
Anyway, I have listened to the rest of your comments and I have decided to delete the submap.
Originally posted by BestVideoGamerBut enough of that. My next point is the excellent custom palette usage. This hack, along with alliterative names, is beginning to look like Rise to the Challenge. (That's not a bad thing)
Thanks. The vanilla idea that I had was somewhat inspired by RTTC, since it had custom palettes for nearly every level.

I have almost finished my new submap and I have finished 'Frostbite Caverns' which I have made a video of:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/URSIO7nDy-I&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/URSIO7nDy-I&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
What do you think?
Sorry about the Overworld at the end. I did not stop the movie in time.

In Rise to the challenge, where is the secret exit to Forest Frenzy?
I can't find it.

Does anyone know what level numbers you can go from level 24?

Those are the levels it uses. When editing, either don't use any pipes, or edit all of the levels.
Are you sure there isn't more? Like the room with the secret exit and the room with the patroopas? What level number are these levels?

I know, but I wanted to make an underwater level with the ASM still in, to make my level a bit more unique

Thanks for the comments. I have fixed the vine cutoff and a few other things too.
Anyway, I am working on two forest levels, that will be in world 3.

The first level in World 3, Treetop Terror.

A level later on in world 3. I have used the Map16 Editor to make those blocks.
What do you think?

I have deleted the canopy on my first screenshot.
Originally posted by Best Video GamerI see good level design, though it seems like this level has 2 exits, especially at the part where you enter the pipe.
Sorry, I did not see your post. Yes, my level does have 2 exits, but you need to solve a puzzle to reach the secret exit.
I am also making the world 3 overworld, and I will post a picture when I have finished.

SMWC and Internet
1) Textspeek/Chatspeak. I find it very annoying, especially when you can not decipher what someone is trying to say.
2) Userbars. I, personally, don't like people overusing userbars or 'advertisements' in their footer. What is wrong with a normal link?
3) Swearing. It isn't cool, it is just pointless.

You need to set the correct FG/BG Starting position.
Use FG = C0, BG = C0 if the player is near the bottom of the level.
Use FG = 60, BG = 90 if the player is near the middle of the level.
Use FG = 00, BG = 00 if the player is at the top of the level.

These are very good, Mert_hack. You have a good sense of level design and creativity.
How far are you in completing this hack?

I always like playing remade versions of games as SMW hacks on this site. However, don't you think NSMB Wii is too new to be remade?
Anyway, Your remake looks OK, but I would change the palette of the ground, to make the level feel more unique than an ordinary vanilla hack.

I think this is a bad idea as you could abuse glitches.
However, you can change your level design so you still have the puzzle, but there is no glitch.

Like chainfire said, if the player does not know the glitch, there would be no way to beat the level, assuming that the glitch was the only way to beat the level.
Good luck with your next level.
