I figured that since the forum was wiped, I should restart the thread. I'll show pics, and not mention the story this time. And again I'll say, that darned Yoshi in the story who loves clocks and lives in the Clock Tower still needs a name! Give me your ideas!

While standing near the exit to this section of the pipeline, Mario wonders how he'll reach that pipe over the pit. The other thing on his mind? "Where's the stupid key?!"

Mario rides a platform to reach a high Elevator. If he falls, a long trip back is what he must face....unless he can still jump back on the platform before it goes out of reach of the elevator.

"Come to me, Mario! Use the Elevators!", calls the platform to Mario. Or is that voice all in his head?

Midway point, nothing special.

Phase Blocks. Luigi can't go through them. Who can? It's a secret to everybody.

Submap, of course! ;) ...I HAD to... Limited GFX space, y'know? Gotta conserve what little space I have. ...That includes palettes, too.
Now. If you guys would be so kind, I'd like a little help.
I'm a bit...stuck...with Silver Pipeline 2. For now, it has houses in the first part, the first of which is a Shop. But... Does anyone have any good House GFX to stick with the SMB3 palette? (At least, the palettes in Pac's SMB3 GFX patch.) I need some for my houses... Uhh... Indoors and out, please... But that's not the real thing I want help with...
Anyone wanna throw out some ideas for me for Silver Pipeline 2? My original idea turned into a Day-Night cycle every time you entered the main area, and, using the SMB3 pipes to go back through the level, you'd take different paths depending on the time of day to cycle the time, and when you got to a point with the time being a certain time of day, you'd be able to continue...but I have to scrap that, it'd make the level WAY too long.

dotsarecool: Oh, you're right. XD My bad.
S.N.N.: That WAS my original idea. But like I said, I didn't want to take the time to make a new background for the levels... XD Now, if anyone wanted to make one for me, then I'd gladly go back to it being in The Void. Otherwise, it'll be, storywise, that Dimentio transported it to the Valley of Time in order to better get one of the Artifacts of Time, but its presence in that area turned the area monochrome.
Sparkx: Uhhh..... I already told you, you CAN'T see it from the main overworld. The only area you CAN see from the main overworld before going into the submap is the Monkey Jungle, and that's only because there's 3 levels there before you enter 6the jungle itself.

I'm using an older version of SpriteTool, and for some reason, in one of my levels, the Elevator Sprites won't come out of the Elevator Blocks. I have the offsets set up right, and the Sprite itself is set correctly. Yet there seems to be no way to tell WHAT is making the sprite stop coming out of the block. Worse yet, it seems to not come out of some blocks, but then suddenly come out of others in the exact same level. Any ideas what's wrong? The only custom sprites in the level come from the Donut Blocks and the Elevator blocks. No other custom sprites are used in that part of the level.

Bio, I'd like to know how you did that. I actually have a big plan for two characters in MY hack, and I'd like to be able to switch characters whenever you want, instead of hitting the blocks.

Like the topic asks. In my hack, I'm using every single level number on the overworld for levels except 0 and 24. (24 is the Star Warp.) The problem is, this includes 104, which is used in the end sequence. I'm using this level for the outside of a spooky mansion hidden deep within a jungle, but I don't really want to use this for the end sequence. Is there a way to change the level to some other level, like the "secondary" levels, or Level 24? (If not, I can just find some way to make Level 104 work.)
On a somewhat-related note, just WHAT needs to stay the same from Level 104 to keep the ending cinema looking right? The sprite setting? The tileset/tilemap setting? Or both? Thanks in advance....

That won't work. Someone else suggested something like that, but the only way I could make a single-level level any good is to make it have puzzles, and....I stink at puzzles. I don't want a linear level, because around here, people hate those. I'd do it if the good hackers wouldn't mind.

Yeah. Someone else counted about 95 levels being used in my hack, and that's all of them but 0 and 24.... Maybe I SHOULD take your advice, then. Thanks.

LuigivsKoopa: Why do I put Luigi, but say Mario? If you had read my previous posts, you'd know that was a mistake. I meant to say "Luigi" where I said "Mario".
S.N.N.: Actually... I was planning on one of the Castle Bleck secret levels taking you through a few SPM worlds... Like the World of Nothing. (SO boring, isn't it?) Woah Zone might actually go with Rainbow Road, though. I like that idea.
Mericles: I saw what he said, but I don't exactly like the idea... Your little thing of what he would say is odd. Especially since Yoshis have been known to be able to SPEAK OUR LANGUAGES. But I MIGHT take that name. (Heck, maybe I'll have a little fun and name the Yoshi "S.N.N." instead. XD)

Wow, it looks nice! Mattrizzle's got me thinking now.... Would it be possible to change that code to make it:
1: Not vanish after a certain amount of time,
2: Vanish only when Mario takes damage (as would a normal powerupm, if it doesn't already), and
3: Only make it smash down when you press Y, and only once?
Basically, would it be possible to turn it into a Paper Mario-styled Hammer?

Eh, not sure if this is the right place to put it or not, but I'll put it here anyways...
I need some help with this hack. First off, can someone supply me with the link to the main page for the hack? I kinda forgot the link.... >_< Second, I'm in Sheik's Hideout, and I have the Big Key, Big Chest Key, and Mysterious Tablet. I have 2 Keys, and have no idea where to go. I last unlocked the prison lock thing on the top floor in the Purple-ish area, defeated that Mothula, fell down to the entrance floor, and defeated another Vitreous to get a key... That was the last thing I did.
Also, in that room that has the staircase leading to the "purple area", I found a switch. What does it do? Is THAT what moved the wall in the room to its right, allowing me to continue down?
How the heck do I get to the Big Chest in the room to the left of that annoying falling floor room that you must use the Hookshot quickly to get across?
Thanks. Oh yeah, one more thing: HOW THE HECK DO I GET OUT OF LOST WOODS? I remember the hint said "remember Z1 Lost Woods path (up left down left)", but that doesn't work. Neither does mirroring it... Help on that? (If you must know, I'm trying to get Fire Rod so I can try to get up Parallel Tower so I can go back to Light World so I can try to get that darned last Jewel that Farore's Isle's boss didn't give me. >_< )

I thought I already answered that question with... Oh, right. I didn't post.
Yes, they will be. But most likely, they won't act like the actual bosses. For one, I have no ASM skill whatsoever, and two, I'd rather you bounce on their heads to defeat them like normal (with no life bar) than actually having a life bar for Luigi.
Also, I'm wanting to change all the block graphics. ? Block is the hardest... I can't seem to make a good ? graphic from scratch... Anyone wanna try to make a good ? graphic for me? I don't need the block with it, since you guys don't even know just what the block is supposed to look like... I can add the ? onto the block myself- I just need a good ? graphic.... In only white. Thanks...

Hmmm.... Check to see if you put the switch somewhere else, or have cleared the level.... I don't know which triggers it, but either the Switch being activated or the level being cleared removes the Switch from the level. I'd assume it'd be Level cleared, though, 'cause of the Switch Palace message setting.

Oh, here's a new idea. Do you guys know of my idea for levels you can only beat by collecting 5 Silver Coins? Well... I've been playing Wario's Woods lately (the SNES version, mind you), and I've been wondering how I might be able to incorporate the Wario's Woods Diamond into my hack. Just now, an idea struck. Replace the Silver Coins with JEWELS. What do you guys think? Stick with Silver Coins, or go with Jewels?
Also, I'm having a tough time making the second level. To get the key that lets you into a shed that takes you to the end of the level, you have to go through the sewers. To get to the sewers, you have to go through two levels of the basement of a house. It's made of SMB3 Bricks ('cause I want to). The problem is, I'm having a hard time thinking of ideas for the second level number. I want it to be adventurous, but not the kind where you have to get all 5 Yoshi Coins. That's saved for a later level. Any ideas?

It's in GFX33, right there with Yoshi's graphics. However, the Podoboo (That's the official and correct name for the "Fireball") has only two frames, and both are the left sides only. Meaning to get the right half, you have to flip the left half. As far as I know, you can't remap the Podoboo to another GFX file. :/
