Hey. I just recently registered here, but I've been hacking SMW for quite some time. SMW hacking is one of my biggest hobbies, and I'd like to submit an awesome hack or two to this site! However, I also like to help out whenever possible.

In Super Mario Universe, I am at Vanallia Desert and cannot find the secret exit. In the Tower of Lahja, there's a message that says to grab a switch block at the beginning of Vanallia Desert, but I just can't find that switch block. Could someone please help me?
EDIT: Found it, so please disregard.

Something that makes me mad is end-of-the-world predictions.
I think the whole "The End is Near" stuff is doing nothing except encouraging fear of a Doomsday that probably won't even happen. That really angers me.

I'm headed off for Spring Break vacation for a week or so, and I probably won't have access to a computer. So, bye, and a happy Spring Break to all!

I've returned after a nice week-long Spring Break vacation. Also, I know this is a bit late, but I'd like to thank Pyro X for the nice welcome when I joined.

The block that can be destroyed with a fireball is a custom block that is included with BlockTool. BlockTool can be found in the Tools section on this site.
Edit: Disregard, I was beaten.

In order to make a Map16Page.bin and a Map16PageG.bin, hit F2 on the Map16 page you want to have as those files.

About the transformed Ghost House level:
To change this to a normal level, go to the Mario icon in Lunar Magic. In the topmost drop-down menu, change the setting to 00, or "horizontal level."

One solution to this would be to patch the FastROM patch to your hack with the tool called xkas. The FastROM patch is available in the Patches section here, and xkas is available in the Tools section.

I've seen hacks like Demo World that have custom ROM header names (by custom, I mean other than Super MarioWorld) shown when you first open those hacks in an emulator. How do I create a custom SNES ROM header name?

Thank you, both of you.
This can be closed now, as my problem has been solved.
Edit: Also, thank you, Ultimaximus, for that little reminder.

The Vengeful Death Zone (Demo)
This is a Kaizo-ish hack I'm making out of boredom. It's probably not the hardest, but, in my opinion, it is one of the most polished.
Known glitch: The "No More Sprite Tile Limits" patch was applied to this hack, but it seems to go screwy late in the first level. Nothing game-breaking occurs, but parts of the Lakitu cloud disappear, as do some parts of the Koopas, occasionally. So far, I have no idea how to fix this (yes, I have made sure the Sprite Tile Memory was at 10).
Anyway, enjoy.

Included in SpriteTool is a levelender sprite. When that sprite is on-screen, once all other sprites are gone, you beat the level. With the levelender sprite, you can create a boss battle against Chargin' Chucks, Koopas, or other enemies. SpriteTool is found in the Tools section here.

Make sure the ExGFX files you are using aren't any larger than 4 KB (kilobytes). If the files are any larger than 4 KB, they will glitch up the levels in which they are being used.

Are you including < and > in the file names? I don't think < and > need to be included in the file names. So, remove the <'s and >'s.

In Lunar Magic, extract the graphics from your hack. Then, open them in YY-CHR. Once in YY-CHR, find the graphics for OW Mario, and change them to your liking (don't forget to save). Finally, re-insert the graphics into your hack in Lunar Magic, and enjoy the new graphics!

Judging by the provided screenshots, this hack looks all right. However, there are a couple of minor problems:
-In the 1st screenshot, skinny yellow pipes cut into the skinny green pipe on the left. Just shorten the yellow pipes to end just to the left of the green pipe.
-In the 3rd screenshot, there is a bad corner tile to the left of the pit. Make sure nothing is placed behind that corner of land, and it will be correct.
Other than that, this looks nice, although a bit bland. Add in a few decorations, and keep up the good work

What you need to use is the Layer 2 Falls generator. However, be sure to have Layer 2 horizontal and vertical scrolling set to "none," or it won't work correctly.
