Get a backup of your hack, use Freespace to find free space, then apply the patch there.
They all have the same base sprite, moreso after being jumped on. However, you can use different ExGFX in different levels. Or you can create remapped custom sprites. Use & remap sprite 96.

Boy, it's been a long time since I've posted a serious question in here. Okay, well, I seem to be having trouble with the the Yoshi coin. I changed the tilemap of the bottom tile, and now whenever I touch the bottom tile of the coin, it disappears separately from the top half, causing the player to get two Yoshi coins. (It acts like a normal Yoshi coin when the player touches it from the top.) Is there any way to fix this (other than making all of the coins accessible only from the top)? Can I change the tilemap of individual Map16 tiles that are used in an object without affecting the function of the object as a whole?

Your best bet is to change the Yoshi Coin graphics and only use one tile, replacing the other with tile 25. Oh and how do you make single-tile Yoshi coins that don't change the block above/below them? Is there a custom block or a hex edit?
For starters, I have no idea what you're talking about.
Second, you can't vertically flip sprites, only horizontally. That's why bosses use Mode7.

Edit: if it's the muncher, you need to put it on page 3 and press F9.

I could do it, but I certainly hope that wouldn't screw anything up....

Just don't put it on top of another object. Have a couple tiles in between.
First off, check your tags are working correctly.
Second, try changing FG3 and BG.

That's a really nice idea. I might give that a try...
Why I prefer .asm
I wish I could help, but I'm having worse problems with my blocks...
Change one of the flat switch palace tiles and place it via a layer 1 event. Then for the event that needs to be beaten, place the tile you want on top. This only works if the other level is on a different submap and you're not using two switch palaces on one map, but it's the only way to do it without advanced ASM.
I had the same error, but it still exported the files anyway. I can't open ANY files though.
What is?

You can't create new Map16 Pages. However you can modify pages 2-f, but 2 is tileset specific. Also the scrolling pipes use all of page 4.
Me, too.
Is that what the koopalings were originally intended for?
Here's my OW, as an example. I've disabled Layer 1 but not sprites, to prevent spoilers.

I know it's a bit bare, but trust me, it looks kinda better with Layer 1 on.
Some screens from my hack:

Long thread is long. Can't we start anew?

What else can I do in the southeast?
For the lava, are you using the Cave tileset? If so you need to use type 2 lava (tile 159). If not, you need to use type 1 (tile 5).
