I recently started adding custom blocks into my hack. when i went to test my new one (thorny vines) i could not figure out how to make it so Yoshi could walk on them ( like the black chomps). Can someone tell me how to achieve this affect?
im a noob, when you say code you meen asm... right?
I would like to request a hurt block that yoshi can walk on while being ridden by mario (or luigi). One that works like the black chomps.

I was working on a graphic hack for my custom block set. It wasn't until was working on my first CASTLE level. once i beat it i noticed that it uses the slot that one of my custom block parts are using.
( specifically the "clear" graphic. )It's either graphic FA or F8. the problem is i cant get into the "level" were the cut scene takes place to fix it. Would any one happen to Know the address?(iggy's)

I insert them into the level and save it to the rom, but when i go to test them they wont appear. does any one know why?
they dont appear when i hit them from the bottom
had to use a clean rom... hours of work to re-build. (I saved it over my backup to), Oh well, its something to do on my day of.

So I've built this really nice over world, and I've taken care of paths,events ect. the only problem is i cant figure out how to place marios starting position in the game. Can anyone tell me how.
I dont have a tool bar in my over world editor......

well, I've built this nice over world, but when i tested it my layer 1 events dont change when i beat the level. For some reason they appear after i play a different level. ( Doesn't mater which level)
does anyone know why, and how to fix this?
the levels reveal correctly and the layer 1 changes do happen, just not untill I've played another level. But what did you mean when you said create a new file in my rom?
When using the auto scroll fast Everything works fine until mario gets to the very left edge of the screen I can no longer jump. anyone know why and how to fix it?
Oh well..... But i had a backup plan for that.
the exit paths that connect all the worlds, how do i change the position mario emerges?( like moving it up a little and to the left.)
let me rephrase the question. when mario leaves yoshis island and enters the main world map, how do i offset the area were he enters the main world map. (not change his starting position in the game)
