Hello! I've been lurking for several months now, reading through the hack removal log for some laughs and searching the forums for answers to various problems I've encountered with Lunar Magic, and I figured I might as well actually join.

If you would like, I can do levels for you. Although I'm a noob to this forum, I've made a fair few levels, and would no longer consider myself a noob to level design. However, I'm completely incapable of inserted GFX/ExGFX at the moment. I can also do overworld design, although I cannot promise anything brilliant.
My forest level is near completion, There's not much more to add. I'm estimating that I'll be done it and have started on the cave by the end of today.
Given that I've never actually submitted a hack before, I'm not sure my advice is valid. But I've tried my hand at overworld making before, and I've kind of got a method. I think it was mentioned as a joke originally, but I actually used this as a method, and with a little editing it kind of worked. Go into Paint, scribble or get someone else to scribble a ball of chaos or two, remove the inner bits and the parts that are too out there, and then recreate + decorate in SMW. No matter how bad you think it'll turn out. It's normally not that bad in the end. The other way of doing it is using generic land-masses in real life. I didn't realize I did this until later, but an island on my overworld looks suspiciously like Africa...

Then again, I've never made any amazing overworld either.
Forest level is finished and sent. I'm starting the cave soon.
Hmm... do we have any more screenshots? I'd like to see what some of the other levels look like.
I'd prefer a plane, because when we landed, my mugger would encounter cops waiting at the bottom.

That level looks to by mine.

And yeah, that tree trunk (and every other one in the level) is set properly so people won't fall through. Using Tree Trunks is rather finicky, but I figured out how the work. Whether you'll fall through a tree trunk or not depends on what part is touching the ground. It only works for that specific type of ground though, not the wooden logs. That requires some MAP16 editing.

famerdave, the cave level is going well, I'm making it more of a puzzle/exploration level than a simple level. Is that alright?
What ASM hacks do you plan to put in, anyways?
Alright, cool. Oh, I'm putting a 3-up moon in a hard to find/reach spot. Are there already other 3-up moons in the same area as wherever this cave level is going? Because if so, I'm going to change that into a 1-up.

I'm still working on the cave area; some of the puzzles and traps have gotten kind of complicated. Don't worry, I'm still working on it; it's just that some parts haven't worked and I've had to edit them.

Dude, I will learn ExGFX in order to make a desert level. I freaking love desert levels. I dibs doing one before this hack is finished.

Ghost House (I've got some ideas.)
Desert (Win)

However, with this I have some news. I have no idea how much I'll be on for the next couple of days, nor how much I'll accomplish. I'm undergoing a surgery (not life threatening) but I have no idea if a) I'll be able to make levels and b) I'll be awake enough to make good levels. So I'll be on sporadically.
