How do I download hacks the right way from the hacks section? When I play the rom on my emulator, it doesn't work.

Layer 2 can be used in 2 things. Mostly, it's the background. In most vertical levels, it's actually an object layer.

I'm having a problem. I made this really cool level, but to beat it, you need to ride some floating skulls on lava. I have sprite buoyancy enabled, but for some reason, the skulls keep sinking into the lava. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

It's 0F. I changed it to 00, but it didn't work.

Sadly, it did not work.

Ok guys, I fixed it. And I made it really cool, too. Since it was a castle, the lava was the wrong type, so I switched it to a cave, and it works right.

A week is not that long =/
It felt like a month to me. I kept checking the website just in vein that it was taken off. In the time that I was waiting, I managed to fix every little glitch wrong with my hack, insert edited sprites, took screenshots, and put in into a ZIP folder. I'm completely ready to send the fixed hack.

Hi guys! I'm working on making a completed version of my rom hack demo. (Which is in the moderation bin right now.)
So, I'm looking for some help. I've got some pretty good levels. But don't download my hack in the moderation bin right now, as it sucks. I've made a fixed version of it. I'll edit this thread when that version gets on the site. Let me show you what I've done with my overworld.
Here is my first sub-map. Please tell me what you think.

What I REALLY need is someone to do some ExGFX for me. I'm having a little trouble inserting custom backgrounds and foregrounds.

Thanks for the help, but I followed everything you said, and when I wanted to insert the new 16x16 page, it said "Couldn't load a page of Map16 data from file." Even when I pressed the yellow mushromm to insert the Map16 data!

I DO know how to insert BG/FG ExGFX and other custom stuff, but I wanted to see how good of a vanilla hack I could make.
My goal for this hack is to use Lunar Magic to its full potential. I'm going to try to do thngs that have been never-before-seen-or-done(hyphen abuser). An example would be the bushes on ledges of level 1:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9_fsRJvqB64&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9_fsRJvqB64&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Here's level two, too:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/grkpOgHSLJA&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/grkpOgHSLJA&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I'm unsatisfied with level two. Could anyone suggest how I could make it better?
Expect more updates sometime soon.
I'm almost done with world two, and have a few levels from other worlds done, but I also have to go back on almost every level to fix stuff.
Criticism, suggestions, and comments appreciated!
You've inspired me to do palette editing in my rom hack! I've done no or very little palette editing for my rom, but your amazing palettes inspired me to make mine look awesome, too! Besides, the vanilla levels are my favorite because you can make them look like a beach!

I notice a little cutoff by the single bridge tile. Anyways, I would love to help you out!

And here's my overworld:

The red circle indicates I had to take that level out due to a big problem.
Hi guys! I'm nearing completion on my hack "Jared World Is Super". I've finished all the way up to near the end of Chocolate Island. Except for some of the castles. I'm not entirely sure if I should continue making it, but I decided I need some other people to help me out with it. Please volunteer for any of the jobs below. When a job is taken, I'll cross it off the list.
Level Editing
Level Testing
Overworld Editing- BIG JOB!
Music
ExGFX BG
ExGFX FG
Now, let me explain a few things.
The level editing isn't that big of a job, but there are many flaws in my level design. I'm really not that good at it. Some of my early levels are actually cookie cutters.
The overworld editing is is big job because barely any part of my main map is edited. And the only really good submap I've made is the Vanilla Dome.
There also needs to be ExGFX in the hack because I've only figured out how to use it yesterday. (I know, that's pathetic.)
So please volunteer for any of those jobs, and I'll send you the hack, one way or another. After you've made your changes, submit it back to me, and I'll list your name in the credits.
Now there's one more problem I have. In my hack, I replaced Goombas with cute little creatures called Sundri, and Koopas with flower monsters called Flowpows. I need someone to help me edit those names in the credits sequence. Because it still says "Goomba" and "Koopa".
Upon applying for a job, please show me a screenshot of your hack (if you have one) and if I like what you did, I'll give you the job.
One last thing. If you get the job, please PM me your email address so I can send you my hack so you can work on it.
