And WTH is Pokadots? I assume a mispelling of Polkadots...
Guess which thread went past 400... and I didn't get it

I was listening to Weird Al's eBay song for the first time, and I liked it.

I've been working behind the scenes on a level for this contest. My level has no P-Switch, just some fences.
It's All About the Fence
Hope you like it (and don't mind the slight status bar palette change in the 'intro.')
I haven't yet tried the other entries in this contest, but I will eventually.

Sounds like Florida wasn't the only rainy/windy spot
I actually love rain, even though I see myself as a Fire-elemental (with a ridiculously high Water Defense stat. Interestingly, I once thought I was a Wind-elemental)
But enough of that. Let's talk about my savestate habits.
I used to abuse the **** out of savestates, but that changed once I hacked my PSP. Two good things about it: It feels more like playing an actual game, and savestates are less convenient.
On a related note, I can actually beat DW:TLC without savestates OR rewinds. (It helps that the PSP's emulator doesn't support rewind)

Yeah, I decided to let the player figure out how fences would work with "Switch."
Well, I wanted to go for the first thing that came to my mind related to "Switch" that didn't involve P-switches or On/Off blocks. The fences came to mind. I'm guessing I didn't playtest it well enough. For some reason, edit's patch didn't work right. Now that I think about it, it's not like me to do what I just did, as I tend to be a perfectionist
I admit that I feel like a slight moron for submitting this, as I was blinded by how interesting I thought it would be, so I'll work on something better. When it's done, I'll remove my old entry.
I still think this is an interesting contest concept.

The video showed a good level; I like how you're redesigning it.
My 2 main suggestions:
1. Minor cutoff with 1st lava pit (easily fixed by decreasing y-length by 1.)
2. Elevator could be made more interesting, but it's probably just me.

I got a sudden urge to listen to Toad Town from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. The game has an awesome soundtrack, and this is probably the best of the "Overworld themes."

So we can use a garden hose to create a weather machine that has only one option, theoretically.
And to those getting ideas from NSMBWii: While playing through both NSMBs, I actually felt that they got ideas from ROMhacks! (DS: 5-Castle, 3-Castle; Wii: 3-Castle, definitely 9-6 and 9-7)

My classes
1. AP Virgil (We read a Latin epic poem, the Aeneid, and translate it. Hard, but interesting)
2. Pre-Calculus
3. AP US History
4. English 3 (I wanted AP English, though)
X. Lunch (I show my friends my hack on my PSP)
5. French 3. (Yeah, I take TWO languages. Would have been Spanish if that teacher weren't evil)
6. Physics.

Since it's been a while, I've put up a few screenshots of the next level, although it's only half done right now. (And sorry for double-post, mods)

Fun fact: This level IS a 102 edit, but the tide and floating mines are your only hints. I did want this half to be a tide level.

Aforementioned mines and a powerup... you may need it, especially a Fire Flower.

Porcu-Puffer! I told you these levels are harder than the rest!

Hope you found the switch! (Note: I'm considering using the Red Switch instead of yellow, or disabling powerups from switch blocks)

But the switch doesn't get you all the way!

Koopa-bouncing... WITH 2 PUFFERS?

Whaddaya mean that's what I gotta do for a midway?
Another fun fact: This level was going to use a fish generator, but it made the level TOO evil.

For me, the SMW and SMB3 BGs work equally well. Either way, I always liked the idea of mixing GFX from different Mario games in the same level.

Seeing these posts about wiki pages makes me want to work on a few pages.
Can't do it right now, though, because this is my first post on a PSP.

Excellent graphics choice! The level also looks great.

I love Monopoly as well, but those around me find it boring...
Speaking of Monopoly...
I also used to play the Rubik's Cube, but it always got too easy when you cheat using its instructions.
In other news, I'm trying again to compose more SMW music for my hack (which just got system-restore'd with an outdated backup Good thing I'm lazy and didn't lose much )

I had actually been lurking pretty much since the website was made, while working on a canceled hack. While lurking, I learned many things. It was only recently that I decided to restart ROMhacking, and this was a good time for me to join.
In short, I registered mostly for feedback and a reason to get a ROMhack done.
