Tip: If you give the player a cape, be sure they can't cheat and fly over the level with it!

UPDATE:

Apparently, the hack doesn't work. So I'm going to start over.

Please ignore this thread. I am already aware of my faults and I am working to fix them.

Sorry, first time. I'm going to reupload the hack.
I know this is a discussion for our new hacks, but I needed to bring this up. As a few of you may know. I recently submitted a hack, however the IPS Patch did not work properly, which surprised me considering it worked fine on my ROM. However, it is possible that I was not using a clean ROM and it threw off many.

In addition, I also annoyed a couple of people by posting about it on here in hopes of finding out if it worked right or not. Unfortunately, the result was no different. However, I do plan on reuploading the IPS Patch now with a clean ROM. I try to learn from my own faults. However, I will also learn SMWCentral in the process so that the same mistake isn't made.

I am deeply sorry to waste other people's time, and I hope that my next version will go the way it should. In the mean time, I am going to get some screenshots, and figure out how to post them in the thread. Thanks for your time, and I hope to make things run as smoothly as possible. Next time will not be a repeat of what just happened.

I guess everybody's first hack, or at least first version of a hack starts with an unchanged overworld.
It's harder to explain why the background glitches then to fix it. Changing the FG/BG is definitely the best solution.

For some odd reason, the BG glitches when at a certain level, unless you have "That Patch", the one that prevents garbage backgrounds.
There's actually a lot of old beta levels that are untouched in Lunar Magic, as well as a few level names that were neverused.

There's also the mushroom sliding across cave lava. Example: In Valley of Bowser 4.

And there's the one where an enemy can stand on slanted lava.

The lava wall where it acts like a regular wall.

It really doesn't fit in a Mario game. And a villain doesn't need to swear to be cool, just only in a game like Resident Evil.

I've thought about making my own Kaizo hack, but first I'll play some Cool or Cruel.
I thought it was because of the hacking war going on. At least that was what I heard from the SMWCentral YouTube page.
I have had no involvement with the production of A SMWCentral Production. However, I have made my own hack, in which I've playtested the levels over and over. But I have yet to beta test another person's work.

I feel I make a good beta tester, because I like to get my work done, just like in my real-life job. I can also get through the process quickly, doing a first test, then I could spend the rest of my time beta testing again to check for things I missed.

If I am a beta tester, I will voice out my thoughts on the levels; Was it fun? Did it look good? Did the custom music fit the level or situation? Was the ASM programmed well? On top of that, I have not yet seen entire levels, but only small parts. I feel having someone who isn't very familiar with the game to beta test is more efficient, as they have the mind of a fan.

And lastly, I want to say that I know what makes a good game. I don't just say a game is bad from just the title screen. I play it before I say something is good or bad.

What's the music? (Who knows how many times I've used this thread for music! xD)

That's the Level 2 theme from an NES game called Mighty Final Fight.

Does anyone have a link to it? I haven't found it on any Japanese sites OR SMW Central. same goes for a few other ports. Ask the author maybe?

Yeah. Anitiki has it on his site.
http://www.angelfire.com/pokemon2/pika22/index.html

There's a section where he has all the songs he made.

Anyways, I was hoping somebody knew the name of that song that plays in Thwomp Land in Super Normal World. It also plays in the Blarg Autoscroll segment of Red Hot Hollow in Buried Treasure.
I am looking forward to playing it. Take all the time you need.
Okay. I figured out how to link files so...

Here it is.
My entry for this year's Chocolate Level Design Contest.

It took me a while to get it where I wanted it to be, but I think I did a nice job.

EDIT:

I included a ZIP file that contains the credits I forgot to put in the level. Mainly for the custom sprites.

So here's that.
