RPG Hacker's BioAbout MeI love video games, especially those from Nintendo. My favourite Mario game is Super Mario World, which is probably the reason I started hacking the game in the first place. Mostly I do ASM stuff. I'm not that much of a designer (whether it's level design or graphical design) and I can't port music for the love of god. If you're a talented music porter and need something done in ASM then feel free to ask me, maybe we could cooperate.
I love programming and aim for a career as a professional game programmer/game developer. For this purpose I'm attending Games Academy in Frankfurt, Germany. I have solid foundations in Free Pascal, C++ and C#. Also, according to my former computer science teacher, I'm very talented at programming. I've solved some of his tasks that noone else had solved before (like decrypting a Vigenere-encoded text), even earned an A+ in my final oral exam.
I love making stuff with the RPG Maker. Once again I'm not that much of a designer; I mainly do technial stuff (like custom menus or whatever).
I love Anime. My interest in it has been slowly decreasing over the years, though. I think the reason for that is the lack of time and motivation to watch longer Anime.
UPDATE: Yeah, time definitely played a big role. After graduating from school I had a lot of free time and watched a lot of new Anime series. Getting ANIMAX, a German PayTV Anime channel, also helped with this since Anime aren't very present on FreeTV here. Also I'm not really the J-dub guy. Whenever possible I try watching German dubs. Exceptions are:
a) Anime I'm really anticipating (like Eureka Seven AO; I just loved the predecessor)
b) Anime that simply don't have a German dub and are unlikely to get one (damn, why didn't they license Fairy Tail over here yet?)
c) Anime with horrible dubs (including pretty much all 4KIDS-based dubs)
My favourite Anime series so far are Eureka Seven and One Piece.
NewsSecond semester at Games Academy is tough and demanding, but also quite fun! A lot of C++, Shader and Direct X classes (and probably a lot more stuff later on). Also some lessons on SQL and server based programming, but I didn't really understand much of that. :/

| [Xkas] RPG-Styled HP and MP Counter - Version 1.1 | This is Version 1.1 of my custom HP and MP Counter for SMW. It adds an RPG-Styled HP and MP Counter to the game as seen in classic SNES games like Secret of Mana or Seiken Densetsu 3. You also have the possibility to make Fireballs, Flying, Spinning etc. cost MP. See Readme for details.
This version fixes a few bugs as well as adds a few new options, so it is highly recommended that you reread the Readme (especially under the "Usage" section). Also if you changed your intro level number you have to specify it in my patch now instead of doing it via Hex Editor. | | [Xkas] Sonic Styled Powerdown Patch | This patch makes it so that you lose all your coins when you get hit and that you die when you get hit while not having any coins.
There are versions for both, the Two- and the Three Digit Coin Counters. I also made versions that disable the second player (since there seemed to be a conflict with the two-player-disable patch). | | * [Xkas] VWF Dialogues Patch v1.0 | This patch let's you use VWF text boxes like in some old SNES RPGs in your game. So far it's rather complicated to use, but the Readme is pretty detailed, so you should be alright if you read it carefully.
Tester's note: Fantastic patch right there. Not only does this mean the messages look much nicer, it also means you can expand the content of each message box greatly. Great work! |
