I suggest making the Koopa stay inside the shell or make it customizable. Also, I always loved
Shady Koopas from TTyD #w{>=)} Tricky lil' bastowds
Perfect for a Pit of 100 trials-like dungeon/cave-like level.
Oops, gave away some ideas #tb{:p}

I know that there's a tool (that I used to have) that makes Koopas stay inside their shells, so I guess you
don't need to edit the sprite Erik after all, if you don't want to. I still suggest it though.
I mean, it should be easy for anyone to look at the code for the Koopa and edit the ASM of
this sprite I guess... If you're okay with that, that is. #tb{:)}

Thanks for the neat sprite! #smrpg{y}#tb{:DD}

I feel this would benefit from having the speed at which it tried ramming the player after being flipped by a cape toned down.

Maybe the original shell color should be different to show this type has unexpected behavior.

It's a bit of an odd sprite, as a lot of its behavior is not something I'd really associate with a normal enemy. I think the weird thing is when it rams toward the player after being flipped.

That being said, it could have interesting applications as an enemy that replaces Koopas in later levels of some hacks, in the same vain as the Elite Koopas.

Hmm ok, just looks...really odd then.

no the shell doesn't even interact with sprites at that state

In image 2, is the Koopa kicking the shell? If so, literally the first thing that pops in my mind is the fact that it looks like a glitched interaction between the Koopa and shell.
