Tip: Switch palace switches normally disappear if you replay the level. However, if you insert them as direct Map16 and use the hex-edit at $00EEB2 in the ROM map, you can replay the level without a problem. Not logged in.

SMW Patches - Yoshi Fireball Ability for Mario v1.1
File Name: Yoshi Fireball Ability for Mario v1.1
Version History: View
Authors: Major Flare
Tool: Asar
Requires Free Space: Yes
Bug Fix: Yes
Featured: No
Description: This patch allows Mario to shoot Yoshi's Fireballs, similar to when you get that special secret item in DW:TLC. However, it has more abilities: first, it has a block flag, so you can restrict the fireball shooting in certain levels with the aid of UberASM; second, but not least, it has a cooldown timer. There's a distinction with the buttons: the X button is responsible for the Yoshi's Fireballs shooting by default.

To be assembled with asar, tested both with LoROM and SA-1. Credit is greatly appreciated.

v1.1 change: Now lets the user swap tilemaps with the Flopping Cheep-Cheeps in order to accommodate the Fireballs' tiles into SP2, making them compatible with every tileset.

I don't really know, as I certainly did not checked this option when I submitted. Perhaps it's because it moves the Fireballs' GFX so they can be used with all tilesets.

Why is this is a bug fix?

Other than the new feature, the patch code is identical to the previous version. The change works fine. Remapping the fireballs to SP2 definitely makes more sense since this is a global ability.
