This hack is pretty cool! Even if the author only used vanilla resources, it still manages to be fun to play.
The design is well done. I liked how, sometimes, it varied from the traditional design, for example, when you have to solve small puzzles in order to proceed. The hack is mostly more action oriented than else though, but it's made in a nice way. It's never boring, since the author used lots of different ideas, sprites and gimmicks for his levels. The only thing I disliked a bit was the last world, way too hard if compared to the close previous levels. Either way, a good hack from this point.
Aesthetics are very original I must say. I don't really get the point of some of them, like when red koopas get coloured to green and the likes, but the overall job made with the palettes is nice. It makes the hack even more varied.
As only issue worth of mention, I noticed some levels suffer from sprite tile limits issues. Sometimes whole sprites get invisible even.
Overall, though, a good hack. A nice play, I'd suggest it. 4/5.
