Hack Name: Panic in the Mushroom Kingdom
Creator: ghettoyouth

This is a hack that I've never expected to see until now. There are a lot of things that make this hack unsafe to play because of inappropriate content. I've seen some private parts after the two Kirby levels, slaughtered Toads, blood and guts out of Pikachus, and strangely I saw Mario kissing Luigi. Who in the world would add such things like that. The gameplay was absolutely great, but the two problems are that I see repetitively placed jumping Koopa sprites in various levels, and there are slowdowns in some areas of some levels. The graphics in this level are nice, but there are some content that can be not safe for public. I liked the backgrounds in the level, which is a good thing about the hack. The music choice was pretty good. I liked listening to SMAS-SMB3 music, but the problem was is that the music after Bowser is defeated keeps playing through (lasting through a "gay kiss", final storyline, and fireworks). The storyline is decent. It's not the same ol' "Mario is trying to save the Princess" crap, but it's where Luigi tries to save Mario while in a holocaust of innocent Toads. There are some grammar errors, but the storylines are clear enough to explain what really is going on in this hack. The overworld is very well drawn with paths so it could show Luigi where he's going. Very well done job overall!

Level Design - 8/10
Graphics - 6/10
Music - 9/10
Overworld - 10/10
Story/Text - 8/10

Overall - 41/50 (8/10)

-SPOILER ALERT-
After Beating the EVIL KIRBY world you get some Hentai

Time for the Reveiw Eh.
Graphics - 9/10 Nice use of Custom Graphics FG and BG Especially like the tree's in World 3-1. Only thing which let me down was no use of Custom Enimies/Bosses. Although it was only a minor letdown. Good Job On That.

Difficuty - 7/10 You Used a Great Range of Difficultys Ranging for Med to Extream Rasing Each Time! But the BIGGEST letdown in the game was simply at times I had to use savestates and at other Times was just Unfair... And Thats only on World 2... Maybe lower some hard level difficultys.

Level Design - 8/10 It was really awesume to play as Luigi as a First, I really liked the use of short platforms with Red Koopa's on them, Always kept me Jumpin'. I loved the level design but the same message applys Difficulty on platforms and Enemies.

Overworld - 10/10 Great Events, New Overworld, Nice Secrets (Hint to Hentai Palace ;D), Everything Perfect!

Overall - It was nice a fun to play with a few Minor Probs which should be easy to fix Good Game for both Casual and Harcore Gamers In Terms Of Difficulty.

----------- 34/40 ------------

Simplified to 17/20!

I loved this hack. has the proper gradual incline of difficulty but i never felt there was a moment where i was like "this is just impossible." I went through every possible exit in just a couple hours. the only possible thing i felt was a little tasteless was the Hentai Palace, but whatever, you can chose to not enter the palace.

Graphics: A (loved the dead/spiked Picachus, also like the different sprites with everyworld)
Gameplay: A (never really a dull moment and not a whole lot of unnecessary repitition)
Story: B (pretty basic, although the save mario thing was sort of inovative, but it's just not the same as rescuing the damsel in distress)
Overall: A- (Great sprites and overworld design. great gameplay and not to difficult. the story really wasn't overly cool or anything and i'm not gonna say anything about the Hentai again.)

Great work, i look forward to playing PITMK2.

(1st review yay!)

Haven't beaten it yet, but I think I can rate this rom already.
I just finished Lakitu's Lawn 3.

Graphics: 10/10

The graphics come with a great amount of variety. One moment I'm walking trough a scary piramid with skulls in the background, a world later I fall into a Yoshi's Island world! The graphics are very clean and I dind't see any glitches or badly edited work. Palets are great and dont look out of place. Very good

Gameplay - 9/10

The gameplay in this ROM is great. It combines fair, regular level design, with challenging secrets. The level design is so good in most of the levels, I really felt like playing an original Super Mario bros. game. The reason why it isn't 10/10 is pretty simple for me. When I played SMW as a kid, I dind't know all tricks. I dind't know you could Spin Jump on spiked enemy's or fireballs, and I dind't know juggling on enemy's. In SMW this was handy to know, but you could beat the game without using this tricks. In this ROMhack, at the end of Lakitu's Lawn 1, your forced to juggle. If I woulnd't have watched all those ROMhack reviews on Youtube, I would have gone stuck there!

Story - 8/10

The story is very ok, but I wasn't that impressed that I would keep playing to know what would happen. Mario was kidnapped, your Luigi, Toads are slaughtered ( which made me laugh). no biggie. 8/10 for atleast putting story in there, unlike some romhacks.

Music - 9/10

Lots of classic's here. I enyoyed hearing old songs. ALSO, I love the echo'ing sound when you spin stomp on a enemy. PY was right though, sometimes the music was a bit out of place. Like sometimes, when you finish the level, you hear Boss music? (Or atleast I think it was that)

Difficulty - 9/10

Like I mentioned before, you need just a tad more knowledge then you ened for the average SMW. It was great though, sometimes I really felt challenged and *cough* a bit cool that I finished a part of the level.

One note: I hated the water parts of some levels. Like when water was streaming out of pipes, and you ahd to jump from waterfall to waterfall, that wa skinda annoying.

Note 2: The snotty substance from the ceiligns and the ground. Can you please, please tell me from what game that was?! I felt so nostalgic when I saw that. Even though I hated the gameplay it brought (see note 1) it was so satifying to see it :D

Overall: 9/10

Really enjoyable hack. Lol'd at the HentaiPalace, but I bet IF kids would have gone in there, they would have barely understood. It was way to pixelated to really see it if you dont know what its supposed to be. Great hack.

Yeah... I didn't even go in that palace... You should put power-ups or coins or 1-Ups or SOMETHING other than that in bonus areas. Seriously...

Anyways, on to the review:

Levels: 7
You had some pretty good ideas in the beginning, but you overused some things (i.e.; groups of green bouncing Koopas, having to jump over enemies to cross pits). The backgrounds and ExGFX were nice, too.

OW: 8
It was pretty good, but I just couldn't stand looking at how the curves at the tops of the islands and plateaus didn't match the bottom curves.

Music: 9
The music was great, but got a tiny bit annoying after a while. Also, a bit of the music (I forget where it was) seemed a bit out of place...

Difficulty: 10
You certainly made this hack difficult without being Kaizo-ish. However, that underground level near the beginning was very hard and annoying trying to pull off all the water-pillar-thing jumps.

Overall: 7 (minus points fo the palace)
It was a very good hack, but I found the Hentai palace to be... well I didn't go in there, so I don't really know, but it's probably really bad and unacceptable. The level Design was good, but you reused to many of the traps. The OW needed a bit more curve to look right, but it wasn't that bad. The graphics and music were great, and the difficulty was a good level without being totally unfair. Keep it up!

Excellent hack, it's not for everybody. I mean, it takes a true basketcase to enjoy those bloody Toads and the Palace of Hentai! I loved this hack. Above all it's twisted-ness, the level design is good. It is visually appealing and has its share of good puzzles and obstacles. About 50 levels for you to enjoy, ranging from easy to about slightly harder than SWM.

Graphics A-
Gameplay A
Story A
Overall A

Haven't gotten around to playing the sequel yet but have been looking forward to it, and will have a quick review for that one as well.
