| Description: | Bowser has kidnapped Peach and brought her to a mysterious forest near his castle. The only way to access his fortress is to hit the four switches scattered throughout the forest- Each of which is guarded by one of Bowser's most trusted minions: Fast Mole the Mega Mole, Scurvy Spooks the Big Boo, Puff Norris the Porcu Puffer, and Kamaar the Magikoopa.
---
I finally bothered to reupload this. This is a mini-hack, meaning it's only five levels long. You can beat any of the four levels in any order you choose to get to the fifth. |

| Review by MitjaKun | I love this hack.
Bosses
Although Scurvy looked a bit sketchy, the bosses were entertaining. The first Kamaar was a little boring, as it was just a remake of Wendy and Lemmy. Fast Mole was the hardest and the best boss in the game, Bowser was a little too easy. But I used savestates, so maybe it just felt like that.
Levels
I loved how the music was taken from other Mario games, although I didn't recognize some of 'em. As someone already said, you should still use the corner tiles for the walls and such. But they were good. The NPC:s were an interesting idea too.
Overworld
I would have preferred the OW paths like the original game, not like an RPG. Also, I don't really understand why the switch palaces are all blue in the OW, and you forgot to delete the events the switches cause to happen. It's also kinda annoying when you get to save after every single level. So, you gotta polish your OW a little.
Ending
This deserves a wholly own spot for itself! When I beat Bowser, it was kinda surprising that you used a scrolling level instead of the original ending, which is of course a good thing. When Peach and Mario go back to Mushroom Kingdom and then Mario says Bye to her and sets off to new adventures, was also cleverly thinked (if that was intentional!) =D Personally the old Princess-saving plot isn't a minus at all.
I look forward to seeing more games of yours! | | Posted by: MitjaKun - 2009-08-19 12:05:40 PM |

| Review by MarioMan392 | 10/10 and a bucket of kfc 4u!!!!
this was like, one of my favorite hacks! the music was beastly, the bosses were retardiculously funny, the final fight with bowser was epic, and the difficulty was just for me! i had so much fun playin this, and moving freely on the overworld mad it even cooler. the first race with monty was harder than the 2nd. Well i hope you make a sequel cause this was awesome! | | Posted by: MarioMan392 - 2009-01-28 03:53:19 PM |

| Review by ItsSnowyTime | This hack is pretty good. I liked how the design was focused on puzzle solving, and some of them were pretty challenging.
-------------------
Pros
- This has some very interesting puzzles. Some could use a little work, but I think you did a good job creating them
- The custom boss battles were pretty creative (but did feature some odd-looking characters).
- This hack, while I'm not sure why, was very entertaining. I wish there were more switch palaces so that there could be more levels
- The music is nice. Most music fits the levels very well
- Stickerbrush Symphony wins.
Cons:
- The levels seem kinda flat. Try adding some different terrain and different elevated areas to make things a little more interesting.
- Some boss graphics (porcu-puffer, big boo, etc.) have some pretty plain graphics. Try finding/making some better graphics, if you can.
- When you are fighting Bowser, make the teleport blocks act like tile 25, so that if Bowser falls first, he doesn't appear to stand on air.
-

I don't think I saw a single inner-corner tile in the game. Instead, all corners are just cut-off walls. Don't be lazy, use corner tiles.
---------------------
Overall, I'd give this hack a 7.5/10. Good job

I honestly think this is the best hack so far. It's a bit short. takes no more than half an hour to complete. But my God is it imaginitive. Lots of unique ideas that seperate it from the rest.
I've always loved the whole free-map idea. Really adds an RPG sort of sense to the game. Had a good story, fun levels, fun bosses and just an ingenius over-all plot + play style.
'Doomdragon' does have a problem with counting Things like those secrets though, I think you should add something to make them more challenging. Rather than just say what you need to do to progress, you should add hints and/clues.
Oh and good choice of music. Couldn't work out what the underwater level music was, but I recognized it Got everything else though. | | Posted by: gafin666 - 2008-08-13 01:34:31 PM |

| Review by Sagittaire | Dylan Yoshi:For a Mini hack, this is very, very interesting. I like the forest theme you went for, and it seems to tie in well. I liked how the progession was non-linear (Ability to go to the other 4 levels first), and the Mega Mole race (Fun).
Keep at it brother. I see great promise for you | | Posted by: Sagittaire - 2008-07-06 09:51:58 PM |
