My first finished hack: Super Mario Ocean. This hack have good level design, new overworld, some new background and ground, and no ExGFX.

Story: Bowser in still kidnapped the Princess. While Mario follows it, it found themselves in a new ocean. Mario owes now saved Peach, and then taken in in the kingdom Mushroom.

This hack is in French. I could perhaps make a translation, but later.

This hack has some pretty good ideas, and is imaginitive. I was scratching my head at Iceberg, Ile Carre and Epreuve 4, but I got through in the end. The level design captures the essence of fun.
However, there were some levels that were obvious edits of levels in the original game, such as the first one, and an area in a ghost shipwreck is close to another one in the original game.
A few things also didn't look too good, such as the block above the doors on the "houses" that reside in certain levels. It leaves gaps. Also, in the level "Ile de Glace 1", the ground has no black outline but the bushes do, which clashes.
In Epreuve 3, the corridor near the end with spikes on the floor and ceiling that scroll up and down has a jump that's really hard if you don't have the cape.
The overworld is what drags this down the most. The islands are square, the paths look bad and Mario steps from the sea to an island several tiles high. That's unrealistic.
However, I did like that there were multiple paths to the end and how there weren't sharply defined worlds, as the OW was a bunch of connected levels.
I think that if you touch this up and fix the overworld, edit the GFX a little and maybe add music, this hack would become featured.
8/10

Super hack! J'ai bien aimé! Je l'ai 'fini' avec 9 sorties sur 32 '^_^
Par contre, j'ai quelques petits points négatifs.

1. Les plate-formes pseudo-3D. Ça m'a agréablement surpris.

9/10.
