Description: Story:

Oh boy... Iggy
Koopa got into the
Chemistry set
again! He's made 6
clones of himself
and taken over an
island! Mario,
please stop him!

(Taken directly from the hack.)

This is a Serious-Joke Hack. The levels are real, but the idea itself is merely a joke. However, I assure you, this did not make me put any less effort into these levels as I normally would. I enjoyed making these levels, and I hope you all have as much fun in playing it!

Also, no complaining about cutoff castle stones in level 3 and no complaining about how Iggy Koopa is at the end of EVERY level. Yes, that is the idea- Iggy, in every level. Thus, EVERY LEVEL IGGY.

10/10... it was a good 45 minutes of my life, too.
I enjoyed the idea of Iggy Clones, and Iggy at the end of every single level.
Pointless plot, amazing end result... I gotta try that, lolz
I was able to finish it rather quickly, without an savestates, rewinds, or slowdowns.

Good hack.

This hack is really fun. One of my favorites!

Graphics: N/A
There are no new graphics, there is nothing wrong with that.

Music: N/A
No custom music. Nothing wrong with that either.

Overworld: 10/10
Why 10/10? Because of the way it goes through the trees with no cutoff, and is not just a continuous straight path, it curves around. I wish there were more levels, though :(

Level Design: 10/10
Now this is my favorite part, no need for savestates at all :D. I hated how there was no big reward in the secret level, "Iggy's Storage". You could have added some more powerup blocks. But, I guess that's just me.

Gameplay: 10/10
You didn't have anything like "controller 1 to controller 2" control blocks (those are just stupid) and the difficulty gradually increases throughout the levels. Good Job!
So overall. I give this hack an 10/10

***PLUS***

YOU WIN A COOKIE! :D

well I had a good time playing, although twoer with water in it I did not like there was to much stuff and paths I didn't take ag I still go to the end there was also a P-switch in there I didn't use unless it was for a 1-up, 3-up, yoshi coin I did'nt need it to beat the level
over all a good hack!

LEvel design 9/10:
The level wern't amasing but they have lots of stuff in them and lots of cool terrain. Good pallettes By the way they were different and they looked good.

OW 7/10:
the forest drawing its paths was my favorite part they were all crammed to gethre and over laping, then they dissapeared and making a good path (mine always get a gros and screwed up.
You had 2 caves that were there and you didn't use them I was disapointed.

Creativity 9/10:
This you mastered you had cool colr palletes and a great OW over all just a great hack

Over all 8/10:
there were a few things here and there but it was good over all hope you make a new one and make it every level Larry or somthing!

10 before penalties
-2, hang in Iggy's Forest requires reset
-1, only seven levels
Rating: 7

Many hacks of Super Mario World do recycle the original bosses, and put Iggy at the end of the first castle, which is sometimes the first save point. To play these hacks, an important skill is to defeat Iggy.

The purpose of this game, Every Level Iggy!, is to put the original boss of Iggy at the end of every level. Yes, every level has Iggy. When I fight Iggy, sometimes Mario takes damage from Iggy, sometimes Mario dies to Iggy, so I need the practice. If I time my actions, then Mario requires only two jumps to force Iggy into the lava at the right side. This completes the stage.

Iggy only provides the quick battle at the end of each stage. Players of Every Level Iggy! will use most of the time in the stages, as Mario searches for the last pipe to Iggy. All stages are new, and all have the format of vanilla Super Mario World. Items and enemies are familiar if the player has experience in Super Mario World, or in other vanilla hacks. I used my existing knowledge of Super Mario World to pass the stages. More than one time, I had Game Over in Iggy's Fortress, which is the third level and the first save point. I redid the first three levels until I could save.

Every Level Iggy! was my first SMW hack to have a ghost house. I enjoyed Iggy's Haunt. All the ghost houses from Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. seem too familiar to me, but Iggy's Haunt was new. Taking a hint from the coins, at one place I needed to spin jump off a Boo to reach a higher platform. The spin jump did not add too much difficulty.

Iggy is in every level, including the bonus stage. Mario would grab some items and exit either side, but the stage also has a hidden entrance to Iggy. A defeat of Iggy there does unlock nothing, but it satisfies the title requirement to have Iggy every level.

Each stage, except the bonus stage, contains five Dragon Coins. These are not easy to collect. Mario would go somewhere that is hard to reach, and find that the reward is only one Dragon Coin, which is worth only one coin, because I never collect all five coins. At first, I liked not the placement of Dragon Coins. Later, I understood that the Dragon Coins provide an extra challenge to players who want to do more than complete the stage. I do not subtract any points from rating for placement of Dragon Coin.

Iggy's Forest begins with the camera following Mario, but enables automatic scrolling soon after the midway point. I tried to use the R button to trigger the automatic scrolling, to help Mario bounce off a turtle and reach a certain platform. This use of the R button caused the game to hang. I had to reset the emulator and lose my progress. I found another way to bounce off that turtle and reach that platform, but I subtract two points from rating, because the level design allows the R button to hang the game. I wish that someone would put the assembly code in the debugger and fix this problem.

I also subtract one point because the game has only seven levels. If the hacker added more levels, then I would instead subtract one point for overusing Iggy. The concept of Every Level Iggy! has this limit.

Lawl... I failed at this hack so hard. I actually got a Game Over in Iggy's Fortress. xD

Well, anyway, to the hack itself: I thoroughly enjoyed it. This hack is an excellent proof that vanilla hacks can be just as awesome as hacks with fancy graphics and all that stuff; the level design was the absolute best I've seen in a LONG time. 1ups, powerups, Yoshi coins, normal coins, everything was well-placed, and the enemies were very well placed, too. The whole hack was overall challenging, but everything was fair and beatable (and not too difficult), and the secrets were geniusly placed as well. Also, there was absolutely no level I disliked - I liked everything about it! =)
If the original SMW was like this hack (without the Iggys) I'd cry of happiness.
The only somewhat annoying thing is Iggy being at the end of every level, but it actually made me lol, and it was just meant to be a joke anyway. ; )

All in all, if you don't care about fancy changed graphics or music and are just looking for awesome, fun level design, try this hack, you'll enjoy it.

(The very only thing I noticed was a little slowdown at the spot with the hammer bros. in the fortress, but it's not too bad.)

I rate this hack a 9.2/10, rounded to a 9. ^_^b

Very nice hack! All of the levels are fun and well-balanced in difficulty. Even things like coins, Dragon coins, and 1-ups are placed in good spots. Even though there's no custom music or graphics, this is one of the few hacks that proves that you don't need that stuff to make a good hack.

My one gripe is the theme of Iggy. Why does every level end with an un-modified Iggy? I can understand one for the first level, but make them a little trickier! Throw in some podoboos, bullet bills, chainsaws.....goombas? Something! Seriously! He takes 3 seconds to kill!

But, aside from the bosses being Iggy, this is great! Shigeru Miamoto would be impressed!

Even though this was a joke hack made to piss DarthRiko off (as you said in the thread that announced this hack), it's still pretty fun. If you took out all the Iggy battles at the end, you'd still have a solid hack. ^^

In fact, you should use this as a base for a serious hack. :D

8/10.

This hack may be made as a joke hack, but it is still top-notch. The palettes are nice and soothing to look at, the variety of locales is a nice mix of classic SMW levels and above all, the level design is just great. One of my favorite hacks on the site, and it helps you get better at fighting Iggy!

9.5/10, but since there are no halves in the ratings, I guess I have to round up! 10/10. Bravo Matthew!

Well what to say? In short: Your level design is awesome! Haven't seen such an awesome level design in a while. And I also liked your palettes. And this hack shows, that you can make awesome hacks without an overusage of custom music, custom blocks, custom sprites and what not.

More levels please ;)

Desolation: Hehehehe.... That arrows thing seems really odd. You say you use them that way, even though that's how I did, too? Also, the Ghost House was meant to be that way, all the length is meant to be in getting everything. I suppose I could change it up a bit, however... Make it longer. Would anyone object?

I'm not going to say it's the greatest hack there ever was, but this is a very good showcase of MatthewPZC's level design skills. The palettes work well and everything looked clean cut and like nintendo would have done it.

The only things I disliked were the fortress and ghost house, where the boss pipe just seemed to be shoved in the middle of the level, not like you were working towards it. Also, I dislike arrows of deception, I use them as "don't go there yet" or "secret the other way" indicators because they aren't tricky at all.

A solid 7/10. Not a masterpiece by any means, but a solid, fun 30 minutes of gaming.
