Tip: Layer 3 backgrounds and tides disappear when you hit a message box, so plan your level around that. For example, you can add a sublevel without layer 3 at the start/midpoint, and include your message there.

Just to start let me say that I loved this hack a lot! The graphics were changed just enough to give it a Halloween like look. Especially with the colors! The goomba graphics were a bit weird, but it worked. The music was nice and spooky, perfect for the hack. The level design was nice for the first level, but the second level was kind of the same as the first one. The overworld I thought was really nice! The difficulty was maybe just a bit too easy, but it was okay.

I would give this hack a 8.5/10. I would probably play it again. Thanks! :)

I was looking for a good hack to play and I picked the right one. The difficulty of the hack is not too hard, but not too easy. The colors gave me a spooky feeling. The music fit in with the levels very well. The ideas were pretty clever as well. The way the pipes were used was very nice. I also enjoyed the boss at the end. I really enjoyed the music during that battle as well. I had a few problems getting past some parts, but after a while, I got through them. Overall, I would give this hack a 9.5/10.

This hack is great overall.
The graphics are changed to give it a more spookyish feel.
Includes a custom overworld, and not just a boring old rectangle, but one of the best overworlds I have seen!
Another great addition is the music!
It is just awesome playing super mario with creepy music!
I give the difficulty a 7.5/10.
I spent a few minutes trying to beat the scrolling level,
but it wasn't so difficult i couldn't complete it.
One problem i had on the first level was i could go over the top
and got stuck inside the foreground.
Other than that i had no problems!
I would recommend this to people who are patient and looking to have fun.

First thing I noticed is the changed overworld (as you can see in the pictures) and I'm always glad if someone makes the effort to do that. Moreover the whole game is in a halloween style and I think the creator used a lot available options to make it look scary (if you can call a smw hack scary). Also the music is fitting to the theme.
The level of difficulty is not very high so it's also a beginner-friendly hack (but it's not too easy if you think that).
And the highlight is the last (secret) level where you have to fight a (WARNING: SPOILER!!!) giant radioactive four-eyed boo (with this amazing music), which is just awesome.
All in all I give it 9 of 10 possible points.
