Description: This hack is based solely on pretty level design and decoration. It'll take you somewhere around 10 minutes to complete, the four levels are of decent lengths. There is no story, difficulty curve, or anything of the like, though the whole hack has a fair easy-medium difficulty.

This entire hack was made only with graphics in the original SMW. All palletes are custom.

If you review this hack, PLEASE be as nitpicky as possible! I want to improve.

...this isn't horrible, but it's not the best. Let me go ahead and go through this level by level.

Autumn Woods: 10/10
A fairly decent level. I don't really have any gripes about this one. Suffice to say, it was pretty fun despite being focused on aesthetics.

Frosted Heights: 9/10
The idea's cool, but there is a slight problem with what you did- all the sprites are more washed out, but Mario isn't, as well as some other tiles like the rotating things at the ropes. Doesn't make it look quite as good.

Midnight River: 7/10
Let me just get my main point across- Autoscroll. You did not do it right. It moves too slow and in a lot of places I found myself sitting in one spot waiting for the camera to advance. Autoscroll is fine, so long as the player actually has something to do while it's happening, but that... didn't really happen. There wasn't enough going on for it to have worked well.

Other than that, there's also the segment with the stack of red parakoopas. First off, that's basically a free 1UP (or five), which isn't that huge of a deal, but I'm more concerned about the spot after it. You have to jump over a gap that's literally at the edge of Mario's possible jump distance. It took me five minutes to get across because I couldn't get enough speed in the meager space given. Either the ledge you're jumping to should be moved to the left one tile, or the ledge you're using to get speed should be one tile longer.

Snowbound: 8/10
This one looks nice. The reason why it's got the second lowest score? Well, there's two dick moves in it- one is the part where you go up a wall with a triangle and there's a green koopa RIGHT THERE at the top (which admittedly could be dealt with using the fire flowers you've been handing out like candy), and the second is a little after that where you have a springboard at the bottom of a cliff, and a disco shell (the color-changing one) falling on your head from above. Also, the invisible coin blocks aren't really cool.

Overworld: 9/10
It looks nice, but the lack of paths makes navigating to previous levels a bit tougher in the event that you forget which direction you need to go. (This is especially the case in between Midnight River and Snowbound, where it LOOKS like you should be able to just head right, but you actually have to head down.)

Overall: 43/50
It's a good hack, and definitely pretty fun considering it's focused around aesthetics, however it DOES need some improvement.
