I am not going to rate anything, but I do want to point out that, for me, after castle 4... the screen goes in then back out and luigi takes a left. You can barely see the top of his hat. He just keeps going. I have seen in youtube videos where he is suppose to go down.
I noticed that when luigi hooks the left he is changing positions (left to right), but just keeps going and going. I left it going for about 15 minutes and it seems that somewhere he doubles back to the far right and stops. He is nowhere to be seen.
Up until this point I have cleared every possible exit and was absolutely loving this game. I am super bummed because in the youtube videos Luigi travels on to world 5 and it's a Metroid level. DOH! I love metroid and the mash up was genius.
I downloaded the patch in Oct 2013. I dont know if there is an older patch that works, but I really really want to finish this game.
I am using a modified (original) xbox to play this. I tried the snes9xbox emu and it worked but glitched if there were too many sprites on the screen. Then I tried it in ZsnexBox and it works flawless (except for this glitch I found).
Is it something that I am doing wrong? Or is it the patch? I know I patched it right. I used a clean rom. This isn't my first rodeo...

Okay, I'll get right to it.
I liked every single FG and BG in the game, but it's the Metroid FG/BG's that take the cake.
It's about time I saw a completely custom OW with a unique palette. I loved the fact you could take two different paths to the first boss.
Here's where the game could've improved. The only major problem was how you only got your health replenished by eating apples. If the other power-ups were to give you an extra heart, the gameplay would be twice as good.
It's hard to put a good story in a hack, but it's far from impossible. This particular hack has a story of Luigi investigating a "mysterious island". If he just now came to investigate, why in the world does he already have a house there?!
The idea of putting an exclamation mark in the level title in pure genius, I say. Almost every level is well-done, although I didn't actually sense much of a difficulty curve.
Boss Battles: 6/10
The normal Koopaling fights I could go without. I liked how you edited Wendy and Lemmy's battles, but you could've done the other ones, too.
Despite that fact, I actually LOVED the last level, even though it had no final boss.
Final Score: 42.5/60
A good hack; it may not have very many problems, but those problems are pretty major.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS HACK
These are the kind of hacks I really enjoy playing. You had the right amount of difficulty, the levels where the perfect length. And some of the secret exits where hard to find, in fact I hadn't found them all. I was a little disappointed that there was no final boss fight. I can see you put a lot of effort into this hack. I admit there was times I was cursing you out, when things got a little too hard, but like I said it wasn't extremely hard.
All and all this is a hack I really enjoyed.
9.5 out 10.

MUSICS (3/10): This is one of the first hacks I played containing badly used musics. There's almost nothing of Mario musics here. You used many annoying musics too many times and just didn't care about the ambient. Desert musics will appear in icy levels, that will appear in lava levels, that will appear in forest levels and so on. You were pretty lazy. You also used some repeated musics with different arrangements; wasn't very creative. Also, the variety of musics is pretty low.
GRAPHICS (5/10): Many backgrounds are good as ones made in Paint. Both tileset and sprites were annoying in 80% of the levels.
The first levels are great. You used SMB2 scenarios well, as well as the enemy sprites. But after some time, you lost your inspiration.
The game was supposed to be a misterious island. You changed most enemy sprites to different ones, what fits with the different ambient you wanted to create. Unfortunately, you also used those native creatures as members of Bowser's army, like if they knew Luigi was comming. You ruined the main feeling of the game.
Sprites with "^^" eyes are a really bad idea. You used it a lot and sounds noob. Even worse, many changed enemies are annoying after some time, mainly the new koopas graphics and the piranha plants. I just thought Sumo Brother a funny one because it remembers me of Sonny, from Mario Golf.
In many levels, you took parts of the tileset and used it as a background with a slightly different pallete. That's not creative and you get confused when you can pass through it or not.
I noticed you used the SMW's original cave background so many times, only with a different pallete. Could have been well used if the musics fit with the ambient.
LEVELS (3/10): Again, the same: first ones are great, last ones are bad. Your levels contains lots of P switches in almost all secret exits and sometimes in normal ones. Also happens in bonus rooms. That's repetitive, and will occur since the beggining of the game until the end.
After world 3, your levels get short. They almost always are just a straight way to the end, without extra entrances (unless for secret exits)
In the last 3 worlds, your levels are usually based on spike traps/ways, and you even used mines from minefield as spikes. It's easy to find Chucks that will make you bounce on spikes or even fall on a hole.
Pointing levels now:
Luigi's House: Why Luigi has a house in a mysterious island no one went before?
Trick House: In one of the bonus rooms, you will need to use a springboard you must take in a room before it, and it's impossible to know that. If you get in there without it, you must kill yourself and start again.
Labirynth Tunnel: One of the very few nice ambients. Too bad the background is not that good.
Green Hill: Awful background. One of the worst ones.
Mechanized Fortress: Here is where your levels start to get short. This one was poorly made. Its name simple don't represents what it is.
Sand Trap: I don't know why this kind of level is so rare. You were original here with a simple stuff. Good one.
Star-Bound Bridge: Interesting way of making two different ways in a level.
Open Sea: Also original, but annoying. "Open" ins't the best word to describe it.
Brinstar: Cool use of Metroid scenario, but once again, level is short and the idea was poorly explored.
Mystery Saucer: Fits with the last world, we know where it came from. Is not just a random idea comming from nowhere. But, at the same time, is senseless, considering the native creatures and Bowser's boomerang brother. His fight is boring, by the way.
SR388: If you had merged this level with Brinstar, could have been an awesome one. Like this, seems like you don't have creativity to develop your own ideas into the game. You have one good idea, and share it between several levels. That's a bad thing.
Mole's Advice: Good idea, bad design...again.
Shyguy Cave: Really dissapointing, considering you just replaced already existing enemies with shy guy sprites and used this as a base for another short level.
Rocky Ridge: First level I saw that fits with that background. But it has nothing special.
Fortress of Steel: One of the worst tilesets used.
Downed Ship, Glass Jungle: Those both levels were the first ones I really liked on the game. They have a new feeling I didn't see before. Too bad we are on world 7 already.
Castle Finale levels: Worst tileset and worst background of the whole game. I couldn't enjoy the levels. I just wished they end up as fast as possible.
Teleport Chamber: Wasn't expecting something like this. Of all serious hacks I played, this was the biggest joke ever. Level flashing and shaking all the time? What is Bowser doing here in Dr.Wily's castle? You don't even have to defeat him to beat the game. Ah, and Wily simple dissapears (you won't fight him as well) and Luigi will go away with Yoshi, who is barely used in the game. So that's it, the game ends, and there's no final boss fight.
OVERWORLD (9/10): Amazing overworld. You can make the game in many diferent ways in many different occasions. Just the graphics are not that great.
STORY (0.5/10): Luigi went to a mysterious island, and yet, he has a house there, and even Toad is living there to be able to clean his house. Senseless.
The monty mole tells Luigi where the princess is being held. She wasn't even mentioned in the whole game until this point, and neither after this point. Bowser's evil plans? I'd like to know what they are. He didn't kidnap Peach and she is not shown even after the final level. Bowser simple has nothing to do with the story at all. Luigi just keep "destroying enemy strongholds" searching who knows what. His main target was to explore the isle and then he starts destroying castles and that's how it end: finally found the nothing he was searching for. He just got captured and escaped. The main stronghold, the last castle, wasn't destroyed, and neither the so misterious plans of Dr.Wily, who just appeared on the story all of sudden, like Peach, Bowser and the koopa kids.
I don't know if something is explained on the secret world (shouldn't be like this, if it was done). I stopped playing the game after the last level. Was just too pathetic.
FINAL NOTES: I have no idea what happened to you. Your other game, Mario's Amazing adventure, is A LOT better than this one. I would never say it was created by the same person, and I just played until the end because I really respected and liked your previous game.
And about the story, seems like you had random ideas and used without any connection between them and the story. It's just terrible. Ruined the game for sure. I hope you start doing games like before. I stopped playing this game before I finished, because I had to think properly if keep playing it was worthy. Sorry, the game was too boring and VERY repetitive.
I really wish you luck on next game.
GAME OVERALL: 4.1/10

I couldn't decide between a 8 and a 9 because I loved the hack so much, even if I haven't finished it yet(I cannot find the secret exit to the World 7 Ghost House, and cannot beat the last level and Mega Starship both of which are tough). I loved the way that the OW is set up, the tributes to The Legend of Zelda, Megaman, Metroid, Kirby in graphics, enemy graphics, music, it is all good. I also like that the last world has all of these bosses that are not commonly seen or with common behavior in SMW hacks.
It is so easy yet challenging. I only got two game overs, dealing with the Teleport Chamber level and Mega Starship, yet the game is very forgiving when it comes to things like extra lives. Another thing I liked was the heart system. It especially helped with the second battle with the Cave Story boss.
All of which brings me to beg of you, Superwiidude, for a sequel to this. That has to happen.

Rest easy, because this version worked for me. Good job with this hack! Here's my review:
Graphics: No graphical nor palette mistakes found here. Your choice of graphics sit well with me. I liked how Luigi is implemented. 10/10
OW: Nice, but is it me, or does every hack like this have to have an extra level called "TOP SECRET AREA" somewhere in the main OW? It isn't really necessary to have an "!" in a name of a normal level with a red dot, ya know. 10/10
Music: A lotta lotta Megaman music! Some of them have very loud instruments though. The OW map with Kirby music gets cut off. 8/10
ASM: Just a few things to point out here:
Balrog (first one) - If you stay closest to either side too long, Balrog will go through the wall, in which you have no choice but to await your death (or Start + Select).
Balrog (second match) - IMO, the hardest boss in the game. I find it very difficult to hurt him without taking damage from the white orbs or getting shot.
Thwomp(?) Boss - I'm relieved it isn't that bob-omb thing again, but a word of precaution is that, without a cape or firepower, you can only use the green old man's ball(?) to hurt the spiny...things. The stage is set so that none of them can walk out, so if there's too many spinies on the screen, well, there could be a problem.
Item Box - Though an apple does not appear in the item box when you grab the firepower... item... when Luigi is big, it does so when it comes to the leaf. Is that intentional?
Ending - For an ASM-ridden game, the original ending is used?
Energy Hearts - I do not mind this feature, and I like how you can extend the amount, but what's the point of putting in more than four hearts when the maximum hearts you can have is seven (they also do not restore your energy)?
I rate this 9/10.
Gameplay: Level design isn't perfect. There are many you could have done more to, such as SR388. It wouldn't hurt to put in a midway point in the Mega Starship level, but still, because the Big Blue Switch is accessible from the first section of the level, there's no reward for even completing it, outside of bragging rights. I liked what you did with the Trial of Guts. A "lunatic" difficulty is such an overexaggeration though. It'd be nice to have more levels like that. In the "TOP SECRET AREA", there is a section where it tells you the location of each heart, but what's the point of that when there are already Yoshi paw marks in those said level names? More apples would be appreciated there too. Speaking of which, it is hard to have your energy restored throughout the entire hack, without having to lose a life, since there is a lack of apples, and no blocks that spawn only apples (outside the yellow switch blocks). Lastly, if Bowser and Wily were supposed to be working together in some ways (as suggested by Wily's tiny cut-scene), whatever happened to Wily's Robot Masters? Where did Wily go after he made Luigi fall? Shouldn't he have tried to bar Luigi from escaping using his Robot Masters and/or himself?
After this wall of text, I rate the gameplay 7/10.
Overall: A generous 8/10!
