Review by andy_k_250
I just finished playing this hack and I found it really very enjoyable. This is definitely the best hack that I have personally moderated in quite a long time.

Where this hack really shines is level design. Each level is built around a certain theme, but none of them ever become boring or repetitive. There is a good degree of challenge, but nothing is really overly difficult (apart from a few areas of enemy pile-up). I also noticed several level design gimmicks that were pulled off in ways I've personally not seen before. (One that springs to mind is how the author used floating platforms that would rise and sink in and out of lava -- really innovative.)

One of the other things I really enjoyed about this particular project is how it utilizes mostly vanilla graphics with some (mostly) nice palette changes. Everything is mostly bright and cheerful, and when it's not, it's still vivid and interesting.

The deluxe Nintendo Presents screen is cool and professional. The title itself breaks the fourth wall and sets the fun tone of this project. The overworlds are all gorgeous and are somehow reminiscent of Super Mario World while still being distinct.

All in all, again, I would highly recommend this hack to anyone looking for a good couple of hours of fun.

While I'm here, though, I'm going to point out a few trouble spots that I personally think could be fixed or improved upon in future updates; however, none of these are game-breaking or game-ruining:
The BG palettes on Peaceful Island are sort of yucky -- something lighter or even pastel might be nice.
It was almost impossible to see the ground in this cave -- lightening up the FG palettes a bit might be nice.
These Monty Moles get trapped in the ceiling when they jump out of their holes.
Was the way the floor here moves intentional? I'm assuming it was -- it was an interesting gimmick and works around the Layer 3 status bar issue.
What happened to Wiggler?
This tree's priority is illogical.
I was able to skip Up The Creek and walk directly into the Amethyst Caverns -- was that intentional?
