Titles

So I saw that some members have a title. How do you get it? Some users have some random words or some link or something like that.
Donating at least 5$ to the website, winning certain events and contests (not sure if we ever actually had titles as rewards, I don't organize those) or becoming a staff member (very unlikely).
My blog. I could post stuff now and then

My Assembly for the SNES tutorial (it's actually finished now!)

This has never happened and it never will.

Not true. I'm not sure if that's the only one, but they've definitely been given out before.
soundcloud / bandcamp / twitter / buy/stream my EP / buy my touhou music / buy my NEW album!!!
In Kieran's 20th birthday wiki surf event the first and second place got a custom title. I think titles were also given in the 2010 winter contest but I'm not sure.

Edit: they were

Saying it never will happen is a bit too much of a blind assumption, isn't it? #ab{>_>}

Indeed. In fact, it has already happened. At least twice.

And I am quite sure that's not the only ones. I think the Midnight Crew threw around a few titles.
<blm> zsnes users are the flatearthers of emulation
I won a custom title in the SMWC Bone Hunt thing they did for Halloween in either 2009 or 2010 when I was not on staff. (Also got an awesome Chomp badge for that)

Just look above you...
If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!

Good job posting the same exact threads I liked in my post.
I got mine through donation, despite the lack of the coin next to my name (I requested that to be removed). I do have the coin badge though.
MajorasMask9 won a custom title in my Banopardy Contest back in 2010-2011.

Also, if you do something really awful, like attack users, damage the site, etc., or if you are just a general pain in the staff's behind for a very long time, you will eventually get yourself a custom title. Granted, you won't be able to edit it or post, and you might not like what the title says about you, but who cares?
I think it would be very nice to add this to the F.A.Q., in fact, I'm surprised this wasn't added before. Or maybe not, I don't know how many people ask this question so I don't know if it really is necessary.
They probably missed it when the FAQ was rewritten. I'm pretty sure it was there before, under its own section too. Given how it's organized now though, maybe it should go on "Layouts and Profiles"
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?

That is also, by far, the easiest way to get a custom color. One dude at the top of the List of Fame even has a rare gray username.
