Ultima`s Randomly Timed Port Batch Thread

Here`s a earlier delivery this time around.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow - Castle Corridor (X3 Style)

This one was fairly easy to make, since the MIDI I got didnt have any extra channels or anything, plus one channel`s unused, so you guys could use it for sound effects and shiz.

Touhou 6: The Maid and the Pocket Watch of Blood

This one, however was a bit hard to figure out, since Megaman X`s instruments are highly limited for orchestra, but I think I did a good job at replicating every instrument with just that sound set (what can I say, I like to challenge myself). Thank god for the decayed triangle wave (or rather, ADSR as a whole) and the vibraphone sample, though, since the piano was SO much easier to replicate because of that.

Donkey Kong Country 2 - Lockjaw`s Saga (X1-ish Style)

Not as complicated, but still. I think I got the feel of the original down pat here, even without the water. Plus, the toms here give a nice impact to the song, so yeah.

Btw @Decoy Blimp, thanks. #smw{;)}

Hey guys, Ultimate here with a DOUBLE EARLY DELIVERY! (NOT CLICKBAIT I SWEAR)

Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals: Sinistral Battle (SNES Synth Rock Arrangement) (pretty self explanatory tbh.)

Pokemon G/S/C: Dark Cave (I tried giving this both a darker feel and a SNES RPG feel. I think I got both right, but that may be just me. lol)

FUCK THIS PORT TBH

Seriously, this must be one of the most complex and probably one of the biggest SPCs I have ever produced (it would have been bigger, but luckily I managed to get a smaller chinese cymbal, so its not as big), plus the chords were a freaking nightmare to input because of the SNES`s limited 8-channel limit. But hey, at least I managed to complete it... sorta.

Also this requested port I made. This wasnt as much of a nightmare as the other one, though, thank god. lol

Heh, then I guess that was worth all the effort, huh? Thanks btw. lol

Also, here`s another port I finished just today actually. The MIDI is pretty bad so there`s definitely a few wrong notes there, but I tried my best to make it sound like the original still.

What happens when you`re bored and there`s no internet for more than three days? You compose something!

Yeah, thought I would do something like this eventually. Like the name suggests, this is mostly used for tense reveals and maybe some silly reveals too, as long as it has some level of tensity. I`m not sure if its any good, though, but I do think its all right for my first time.

EDIT: Actually, I updated it a little bit, and now the purpose of this is actually for cutscenes or conversations with the Koopa King himself, not JUST a regular reveal.

EDIT 2: Now the composition is complete, pretty much.

Here is a few more Megaman & Bass ports I made:

Megaman & Bass: Intro Stage (X2 Style)

Megaman & Bass: Astro Man (X2 Style)

Well, that`s it I guess...

Obscure Japanese ports time!

Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys (Remix) (well, not so much of a remix as a mashup of every version of this theme. I dunno if I overdone it on the reverb here, but meh. I`m also planning on releasing this, as long as I can find someone who can help me with the optimization, so dont worry, you`ll be able to use this for epic openings/final bosses too)

Gundam Wing Endless Duel: Airport (Heavyarms Stage) (X2 Style) (I just found about this OST recently, and holy fuck is it awesome. As expected of Natsume, though... I`m probably not gonna release this, but who knows, maybe I will)

Well, here`s this month`s ports, and oh man I T S A B I G O N E tbh

Star Fox: Titania Boss (X2 Style)

Sonic Generations: Crisis City (Classic) (SNES Arrange) (ignore the SPC title, its not exactly techno anyway, just techno-like. Also, probably the first time I have used SMW samples in anywhere tbh)

Megaman 6 - Tomahawk Man (X3 Style) V2 (oh yeah, I dont think I have uploaded this port here, have I? Either way, just another remake of my crappy port...)

Megaman X6: Blaze Heatnix (X2 Style) V2 (another remake of a crappy port. Again. I dunno how will this be recieved, but ehh)

Chrono Trigger: Battle #2 (X1 Style) (funny how no one ported this lol)

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow: Castle Corridor (X3 Style) (yes, I know I have uploaded this before, but this is actually a revision that I made so it sounds more X3 like, which may cause some hate, not sure)

Also just putting this up here for the heck of it lol

EDIT: dangit why did I forget to put this one here lol

Megaman 7: Wily Stage 1 (Entrance)

Megaman Battle Network: Running Through the Cyberworld (no way I would let Decoy be the only one to do this tbh, plus its sampled, so)

Megaman Battle Chip Challenge: Battle Theme (this was complicated AF to do, mostly because I had to get entirely different samples for the lead and the organ, and it was REALLY tough finding good replacements. Other than that, it wasnt TOO complicated to do)

Thunder Force III: Venus Fire (Gorgon)

Gundam Wing: Endless Duel - Desert (Sandrock) (X2 Style)

also throwing this in for the heck of it

tfw running out of stuff to say before giving my batch of ports

After Burner II: Final Take Off (not sold out on the synth brass, tho, but IMO after the sawtooth kicks in its 👌 tbh)

Megaman 9: Thunder Tornado (X2 Style)

Megaman Zero: Enemy Hall (yup, putting this here too because why not)

Megaman Zero 2: Departure (pretty much a request from someone at Youtube. He told me to use MMPRTM samples only, but the guitars were being awfully feisty to tune, so I just gave up on doing that. Now its a bit more varied in samples, but there's still MMPRTM samples in everything else)

Pokemon DPPt: Vs. Team Galactic Grunt (I'm actually really pleased on how this turned out tbh. Holy FUCK did I had to shave off a lot of ARAM tho... If it makes this song be even more exciting and aggressive, tho, then I'll gladly accept it)

More ports I guess

Knuckles Chaotix: Combination (mostly did this to prove Pinci that it is indeed possible to do this with sampled chords, so I fired up my KORG M1 and Roland SCVA VSTs that I totally didnt get by illegal means and started sampling some sounds from that, like I'm always doing now. Luckily it wasnt really too hard to get sampled chords from the KORG M1 VST after Izuna taught me of a way to do them in the patch itself, but it doesnt seem to work with piano or even flute patches for some reason, and I wanted to know how to get chords from these kinds of patches for a Ys cover I'm making, so if anyone has some kind of a solution, tell me right away.

Btw, the kick and hat/shaker samples are not from a synthesizer at all, and instead from a random selection of jazz drums I found laying around on the internet. Just in case someone thinks those are also from a synthesizer too lol)

Megami Tensei: Sea of Flames (I'm working on a actual port of this right now btw. If it works well enough, I'll release it to the music section.

Also fun fact: I pretty much got the idea of doing this port after playing KMT for a bit last Thursday, and since this song was good enough to cover, I did that because why not lol)

Megami Tensei II:
Death Match
(this one just kinda came to me after listening to this and a few other songs with my phone at school (so I dont fucking kill myself because of boredom) lol. Hopefully everything's fine enough, because this was hell to do. Mostly because of the goddamn pitchbends being so damn complex and rapid #smw{-_-;})

And that should be it for new ports! #smw{:TUP:}

EDIT: Oh yeah, I also forgotten about a few others:

Megaman & Bass: Cold Man (X2 Style)

Megaman Zero 4:
Nothing Beats (X1 Style) V2

Megaman 7: Walk The Invisible (Wily Stage 3) (X1 Style)

I mean for korg m1 you just have to set the patch to "double" on the program's "easy" tab, that'll allow you to use both your oscillators

first spc sounds good and nice enough, but the other two sound perhaps a bit too harsh (at least for my liking), I'd either lower the volume of the drums or replace them with something that's a bit more of an all-round sound instead of a massive transient

Yeah, I can see what you mean, especially for Death Match, but tbh, I feel the sound from that is harsh for other reasons which I have yet to fix, but am too lazy to do so now (and I'm busy making the MML version for the Sea of Flames port, so you know). Sea of Flames, however, at least for me, is fine enough, and while I could lower the volume of the drums on that one, I feel like its a lot better this way, since lowering them might make them a bit too, well, low on volume when compared to the other instruments. I might lower them a bit, tho, but not too much.

Battle Garegga: Subversive Awareness (yeah, now Lui is not the only one who made a Battle Garegga port

nice)

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Arcade): Jotaro Kujo (yes, this is by Capcom; it was one of the very few games for the CPS3 sound system, and hoo boy is it's music great, especially when two of my absolute favorite Capcom composers made the song to this game (those being Setsuo Yamamoto and Yuko Takehara), tho I think that may be because I haven't looked at many of Capcom's CPS2 shit and that I don't know about all of the many Capcom composers yet, but still

also JoJo, so it's even more awesome)

Cyberblock Metal Orange: Stage 1 (this one is a rather obscure game, as I mentioned on the description in the link; IIRC, it was originally a PC-88 game, but then recieved a few versions on the PC-98 and Sharp X68000 (the latter being the best version overall); it was also a hentai game, but it also had arkanoid gameplay which basically involved you clearing each level and getting rewarded with hentai CG pics that became dirtier and dirtier, but really, that's the entire point of h-games; it wouldn't be a game if it was just consisted of pictures now wouldn't it, it would be better, sure, but it wouldn't be nearly as rewarding lol)

oh yeah, I also forgotten about this
