Favorite country music

Howdy pardner. How's 'bout it, care to tell what's yer favorite country songs? Maybeh some blues er summa them action-like tunes?

The Devil Went Down to Georgia is such a badass song to be honest. What country do you guys listen to?
John Moreland is a fantastic singer/songwriter. His songs are beautiful and I love his voice and playing style. Both of his albums are incredible and I can absolutely recommend them. I think he has some new music on the way too, which is exciting #fim{^_^}

Drive-By Truckers are also insanely good. They fall under the "Alternative Country" blanket, because they float between country and straight rock, but they're incredible song-writers. Their lyrics are incredibly expressive and tell their stories very well. I'm a fan.

Haven't listened to much of Ryan Adams' country catalog, but the small amount I have listened to is pretty great.
ask me if i give a f*ck...
Do Simon and Garfunkel and Jim Croce count? If so I like Sound of Silence and a number of songs by Jim Croce.

I don't listen to much country but I fuck with Johnny Cash (but who doesn't) and a bunch of the outlaw country type shit. I like Townes Van Zandt a lot too. example. Im also a sucker for country/punk fusion type shit, the meat puppets being the obvious example. There's not too much recent country I've heard that I've liked... 2010s pop country is even worse than 2000s pop rap in terms of sameyness and just overall lack of effort, but Sturgill Simpson's album from last year was pretty good.
